Guest guest
Sat nam, As i recall, the emotional reactions after Kundalini yoga are more common in the beginning. Because emotions are partly a physical phnomena, emotions are stored in our muscles, especially tight ones, so sometimes feelings come up during yoga--old anger, fears, grief, etc. The best thing to do is something nurturing. Take a bath, a walk, etc. Or talk to your yoga teacher about it. Emotions sometimes come up like that during massages or healing treatments. These are usually old emotions we may not have let ourselves experiecnce in the past. Try to observe them and let them pass by. Try not to get caught in the emotions and the story of it. One thing that really helps is breathing deeply. Stick with your practice. It is so worth it! Guest guest
Yes definitely, this is a good thing! It most likely means you are working through physically and mentally stored issues, and raising your self-awareness to internal and external habits that create conflict with your existential purpose. If you work through the pains, angers and emotions in class, you will grow and progress, and raise your consciousness. So, " Keep up! " and battle through the tough spots. Keep in mind the Sutra: " For every block there is a way through it " . You will reach your rewards only through making it onto the other side of the suffering... And in effect, the suffering will give you purpose. Another good thing to keep in mind is that " Every negative is a positive " . And also, it's vital that after you make it through a tough spot, that you vocally and mentally recite an extremely secret, and magic yogic mantra to yourself... And that mantra is: " Thank You " Try it! It works... and can be used anytime! Even as you are struggling through a tough spot, it can help get you through. Eventually you will find a much deeper peace and happiness with Kundi as you unmask and absorb (come to terms with) the hidden conflicts within. (And no more beers, eh!!) Peace and love and blessings, Sat Nam. Guest guest
I had extreme emotional reactions when I first started KY. In my case, I think I had absorbed a lot of negative energy from my mother's emotional difficulties. (She was addicted to codeine and valium when I was growing up, and tried to commit suicide twice.) All of that old energy cleared. The KY brought it right up and out. The tendency can be to run from emotion, but if you sit with it and experience it fully, it can be released and healed. For me, doing less of the repetitions, sometimes no breath of fire, and shorter meditations helped. I also thoroughly cleaned my home, and cleared all clutter. (This was key in my situation.) I take walks in nature every day, engage in hobbies, and live a balanced life. My relationship with my mother now is very close...which before had seemed impossible. The KY made me very honest and I confronted past painful experiences that we had avoided for years. It may help this student to know this is only a stage, and that if she can work through it slowly, she will come out on the other side happier, lighter and brighter. Essential oils, flower essences, and clearing baths are also very healing for the chakras. Guest guest
Hello Toni, I thought the best mantra was the Gayatri, cause this is the mantra that calls in the energy of the Kundalini, I mean Shakti, also it calls in the divine presence of God/des and all the cosmos divinity. OM BHUR BUVAHA SVAHAH TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM BARGHO DEVASYA DIMAHI DHIYO YONAHA PRACHODAYATH Just look at Deva Premal, chanting the Gayatri mantra on Youtube, it's great.
