Are we aiming to do Sodarsgan Chakra kriya in the easiest way? The pumping is a different experience when fully inflated. My view of the Kundalini Yoga kriyas is that I dont understand much of how they work so it is best to do them following the instructions as closely as possible. The instructions are fairly brief and we are very complex so there is a lot of choice as to how we do things. I find even a small change in the lining up of something or a way of breathing or using the eyes makes an action rather different. So we have a lot of choice. Should I do things exactly the same way every day? I like to change things slightly and when I discover a new 'effect' I follow that. Should I makes things easier so I can carry on for the full time with a regular rythm? Often I do but other times I slog away and have a little rest every now and then. During Sodarshan Chakra Kriya I would sometimes rest (not slumping) and I found the rest period very interesting. So we have all this choice and don't have a teacher to tell us what to do. I guess we have experiment on oursleves. Maybe its called 'yoga of awareness' as it helps us to understand ourselves - and the this awareness brings understanding that will help us use the kriyas better and better. It is odd sitting on my mat banging away at this and that wondering if I have maybe got it wrong and am making progress at a much slower rate than is possible. Also I see that different people get different things out of the yoga - we seem to have different aims and views on it. Its all very complicated but one thing I do know it is better to do it and allow such thoughts to exist than not do it at all. Keith.
