Guest guest
Namaste, Dear friends, I am very glad to be part of this group from which wisdom I am constantly profitting. Certainly, there have already been answers, here and there in this forum, on the question that is bothering me at this stage of life. Anyhow, I´d like to bring the topic up again. Which kriya do you rely on MAINLY for " aligning yourself " with your life purpose? I do think that KY practice is about consciously aligning with the Divine and our purpose here on earth, with every kriya. However, I would be really in need to open " my inner hearing and seeing " for understanding the indicators that might want to guide me in decisions that will affect the course of my life. I am a capricorn and have eagerly taken in Guru Rattana´s advice in NMB regarding the Pluto/Capricorn constellation. I very much feel that it is as she describes, as I have entered a severe stage of checking Who I am in this world, revising what I haven´t done yet, what my duties are within the next time... I wonder how you confront important decisions from the point of view of KY. How do you prepare yourself for knowing " which place is right for you " ? Truth is I feel kind of frightened and insecure because for the first time in my life there is " no indicator " about " what is next " . Thank you for letting me share my problem here. Best wishes to all, Alice
Guest guest
Sat Nam! There is a Buddhist concept that shows us that to want enlightment is a big mistake. The mind wants. The Soul does not! And above all that is God. I have been told that it may only take just one Kriya, done right, to see the Light and to dance in Shabd. Just one. But nobody may prescribe a Kriya like we prescribe pain medicine or blood pressure medication. That is why there are so many Kriyas, and why the Kundalini Yoga experience as taught, is just that, to present an experience. The student, us, will then find the Kriya-key, perhaps after 1,000 days doing it at 4AM, perhaps after taking many 1,000 day-periods, then picking another one, and maybe, perhaps. But there is something esle above all that, and that is Grace. The Grace of the Guru. Lets not forget that. Yogi Bhajan mentioned: " To be spiritual is to give and give, never to expect back, as clouds give rain and never come down to take the water back. And your life exists on that giving. There is nothing to learning to be spiritual; learn from the clouds that give you the light and the spirit of giving through their own drops of water which create huge vegetation for you. " The purpose of life is the present moment. Which ceases to exist the moment we think of it. That is how I guide mine. To live fully, every second of life. But on every second, to pay attention on how I am spreading wealth and joy to every sentient being. Yogi Bhajan also said: " To know wisdom is nothing. To experience wisdom becomes knowledge. Then you can stand through the times. " Remember that we all bring different colors, shapes, forms and purposes upon trying to enter a Path. But it does not matter for all paths take us to the same Principle. Sat Nam José --- On Wed, 1/7/09, meraldis <meraldis wrote: meraldis <meraldis Kundalini Yoga Indicators about one´s path... Guest guest
Sat nam Alice, I will speak from my own experience to give you one perspective. My life has had many major upheavals in the past few years--a breakup of a four-year relationship, getting laid off from a job I had for almost 12 years, meeting and marrying my soulmate, finding a new job, consciously letting go of old relationships and grudges...oh, and becoming a Kundalini yoga teacher. :-) What carried me through all this was my early morning group sadhana practice. I met my fiance while doing 40 days of Aquarian Sadhana from 4:30-7 a.m. at a yoga studio in Sept. 2006 -- 2.5 years later, we're still going strong (the relationship as well as the sadhana). Did sadhana manifest the upheavals in my life, or just give me the clarity to deal with them more gracefully? I think it did both. Sadhana gave me the courage and clarity to see things as they are (and believe me, I was in so much denial about my unhappiness). Sadhana gave me the time and space to sort out and confront my thoughts and feelings, and heal myself in a safe and loving group environment. Sadhana taught me that we are never alone in our pain and our triumphs, even if we're the only person in the room. Sadhana aligned me with my true self and taught me how to just listen to my soul. My intuition is much stronger now, and I trust it more. It's not easy--but that's the point. Getting yourself up for sadhana is a daily victory. Committing to an early morning practice takes immense discipline and adjustment, but the rewards have been hundredfold. You must get to bed earlier and forgo a lot of late-night socializing and TV-watching. You will get sick as your body adjusts to the new schedule. You will begin to prioritize everything in your life around your sadhana schedule. You will love it, hate it, be neutral about it...and after awhile you'll just do it because it is so much a part of your life as showering, eating, and falling in love. I suggest trying a 40-day practice of the entire Aquarian Sadhana in the amrit vela, just to start. Don't beat yourself up if you miss a day or two. Just get back on the horse and pick up where you left off. Think of it as building a spiritual foundation for your practice, and every kriya you choose later in life will build on it further. Let me know if you have any other questions! Nimrita Kaur
Guest guest
great story thanks for sharing...on another subject, does anyone know what the " Nobility " song is and has anyone done the kriya that uses the words, That mean mean man? You are suppossed to chant that through one of the postures and I am having a hard time as those words are not any mantra that I know of... thanks, Jaidev --- On Fri, 1/9/09, mmmmmm <hapagirl420 wrote: > mmmmmm <hapagirl420 > Kundalini Yoga Re: Indicators about one´s path... > Kundaliniyoga > Friday, January 9, 2009, 12:47 PM > Sat nam Alice, > > I will speak from my own experience to give you one > perspective. > > My life has had many major upheavals in the past few > years--a breakup > of a four-year relationship, getting laid off from a job I > had for > almost 12 years, meeting and marrying my soulmate, finding > a new job, > consciously letting go of old relationships and > grudges...oh, and > becoming a Kundalini yoga teacher. :-) > > What carried me through all this was my early morning group > sadhana > practice. Guest guest
Sat Nam, José! Thank you very much for sharing your reflections and advice in regards with my previous message. I do think I have been in some coherent " flow " with my life up to now but starting with summer I only know I will do best to leave for a new place, yet, it´s not evident which one. The point you are making that in the end we are guided towards the same Principle, is very comforting. I´ll try to overcome my fears and trust more... Thank you very much. Guest guest
Sat namNimrita Kaur, Many thanks for your personal account about the challenges and huge benefit of practicing Sadhana in amrit vela. Indeed, I should committ to such a consistent practice, and accept the outcome. It seems that first of all everything important fell apart in your life (job, relationship) before it rearranged itself again within a new order. This is what I am hoping for, too. There is no daily Sadhana group where I live, let in amrit vela. The walls of my room feel so frozen whenever I try to engage in a new project " for myself " . In any case, it is good to know that the group support is here in the room, somehow, as well. Thank you, again.
