Sat Nam , regarding Pain. I have in the last 80 days completed the exercise set

for the Chakras (40 days), The Kriya for the ten bodies (40) days. When I had

about a week of the ten bodies Kriya left I woke up from bed with a sharp pain

behind my left scapula. This pain has worsened. I have stopped doing Kriyas. I

am doing yoga daily a K yoga warm up and then some Hatha. The Pain runs down the

whole left side of my back. Muscle pain. My Father Died November 12. My Massage

lady said this pain was part of the heart chakra. I have been to an osteopath

but no one can alleviate it. What do you think could have caused this? All that

stretch pose and then holding the head up beteween the knees? Sat Nam Lily

In my personal experience, I've found that mis-aligned vertebrae can cause a

release of energy (as well as pinched nerves, of course). I had something

happen recently -- and between my chiropractor re-aligned my vertebrae, my

own focus on helping (allowing) the energy move down my arm and out my

fingers, and a Hatha practice, I found relief in 24 hours. I've found that

energy that has been blocked is not pleasant energy to release, but once it

is released, and we do not block the energy again, we have a free easy flow

of energy in the area.

Sat Nam Lily,

It's possible you were doing one or more of the exercises with poor alignment.

The KY kriyas are powerful, but we are not taught alignment principles in this

tradition. My advice - go find a well-respected hatha yoga teacher who is

trained in alignment - I recommend an Iyengar or Anusara trained teacher - and

have a private with them. Show them how you've been doing each exercise and see

what they say. They could also give you additional exercises to do to alleviate

the problem.
