Pronunciation key for words used in Kundalini

Does anyone know if there is a pronunciation key somewhere that would

help me to pronounce mantras, chants, and general Kundalini terms

properly.

I have been practicing Kundalini for a couple years now and still

stumble through the words. I go to weekly classes but I also do a lot

of study on my own. This would add a great level of understanding for

me.

Thank You,

Jeff

Yes about 2 years ago 3HO came out with a double CD with Yogi Bhajan pronouncing

every mantra and word used in the Kundalini Practice. I know you can get it at

www.spiritvoyage.com. I lent mine to my sister so I do not have the name handy.

Greetings Jeff,

Since most of the mantras are Gurmukhi in origin, if you look at a pronunciation

guide for that language it should help. You can find these on line.

And when I teach students I also suggest they rely a bit on their intuition and

tongue, as well. Look at the mantra so you have it visually. But then listen to

recordings of the mantras (as Yogi Bhajan used to say, listen with both ears)

with your eyes closed and you will find your way to this sound current.

Be patient with yourself, too.

Enjoy, Sat Nam

There's a DVD of some 60+ mantras available from Ancient Healing Ways and/or

Spirit Voyage. KRI approved I believe
