Guest guest
Sat Nam, Paul, Just to clarify: You wouldn't get a spiritual name based on numbers from a website. You would get your personal numerology from that, but your spiritual name is based on more than that, & is given to you by a person. The wonderful thing about receiving a spiritual name in many traditions is that it's not based on a relationship, in the way you are meaning it, because it doesn't need to be. Each of us chooses to incarnate in a particular time & place, & each of us who asks for a spiritual name takes that action at a specific time. All of the astrological & numerological data associated with those moments can be " read " , interpreted, analyzed, weighed, intuitively processed, etc. by someone skilled in the art to produce an accurate picture of the destiny a person incarnated to fulfull. That is the kind of relationship that exists in spiritual name-giving. We write our own script, & we birth ourselves to act it out, but often by the time we wake up on the earth plane we've forgotten what it was we came here to do. A master simply " sees " what we've already written & helps us to remember. It doesn't need to be dependent on building a one-to-one relationship over time. I find it reassuring that the process is based on objective information & not on a personal relationship, which may cloud the other person's ability to see me as I am & speak the truth to me. Master astrologers say, " I read the chart, not the person. " The data is there for understanding whether there is a " relationship " between the client & astrologer or not. It is a similar aproach with spiritual names. I agree that we need to live out our spirituality in our relationships, otherwise we could be just playing games or fooling ourselves; but I don't think that is what's happening here. Spirituality means nothing without relationship to live it in. > Paul
Guest guest
I'm pretty sure that Yogi Bhajan didn't need to use Astrology of any sorts to give a Spiritual Name.. he KNEW who everybody was, even BEFORE asking for a Spiritual name.. However.. I do believe that Astrology has it's significance in our destiny.. humbly dev
