Sat nam,

I am curious to know from you who teach yoga - do you ever walk around

the room and check for alignment and adjust your students? Someone

asked me about this and I have never seen it done. Thanks in advance

for your response.

Yes, there are times when we do walk around the room & check for proper posture

alignment...however,in our practice of Kundalini Yoga we do NOT place our hands

on anyone, when someone is not in the correct posture we can verbally correct

their alignment or demonstrate the posture.

Sat Nam, I believe in Kundalini yoga that the teacher is the facilitator and due

to this it is her/his job to observe and offer verbal assists as she observes

the whole class. Rarely is  student picked out to assist. One is to notice if

your students are doing the breath correctly and maintaining the postures as

close as possible to the way described in the kriya and then just offer verbal

tips.  In Hatha is is usual for the teacher to walk around and touch the bodies

to do manual assists as well as verbal assists. Sat Nam Lily
