Sat Kriya 40 days

Sat Nam All,

I recently completed a 40 day committment with Sat Kriya. I did it

for 11 min. each day. That seemed like a long time to me, but I kept

it up and felt better for it. One thing I really like about

committing to 40 days of a kriya is that it gets me on the mat

everyday without fail (because I really don't want to have to start

over). During this 40 day run, I actually gave up my daily watching

of soap operas (which I have been watching for > 15 years). I didn't

even realize that I'd given them up at first. I was just really busy

and going alot and didn't seem to have the time for them. Then once I

realized that I hadn't been watching them I turned them on one day and

found them to not keep my attention anymore. I watched another day

and the antennae wouldn't pick them up or they kept cutting out. I

just quit watching them altogether. I have always been a little

embarrassed that I did watch them, because they're such a phenomenal

waste of time, but I thought that I needed them as an escape from the

mundane chores of the day. I don't need them and they give me more

stress, and I don't really deal with stress all that well anyway.

So........Wahe Guru!~ I gave up the stinky old soaps.

Sat Kriya works in strange and beautiful ways.

Great story - I like it. I have lost a number of habits without noticing at

first. I asked my teacher once which habits Kirtan Kriya should break and she

just said 'Which ones have you got?'.

It really amazes me we start to fix ourselves but without really understanding

how it's just 'Do the yoga and see what it does.

I just got up from a great session and near the end of 25 minutes of deep

relaxation my mind started to come back and I was just lying there thinking

about happiness and how it seemed to have arrived for the moment despite the

fact that life is a right old mess right now. How does this stuff work? !

Yep, that's very cool. I love it. I feel so much better than I did

last year at this time and It's all about the Yoga. I'm a new and

improved me and I like me alot better.

Now I'm doing Sa-Ta-Na-Ma meditation for 40 days to see what will

happen.

Peace,

Sail
