Guest guest
Sat Nam, I am trying to understand how the energy or fluid of the spine runs from the root to the top of the head when meditating or practicing kundalini. Is it energy through vibration, sensation, warm feeling or is it real spinal fluid that runs through the spine all the way to the top of the head? and if is liquid that runs to the top of the head where does it stay? where does it go? I would really appreciate any comments. Sat Nam, Hari Narayan
Guest guest
Susana, It is not spinal fluid that rises up. It is your life energy. It is energy which rises and is circulated through your body. You can read about it at kundalini yoga. Go through the free online course for beginners and it is explained very well by Guru Rattana. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Thank you guys for your responses. I Have been having headaches for about two months. I am taking a kundalini teacher training in Chicago. I am doing my daily sadhana and meditation. We are in our fifth month of training, unfortunately our teacher is not very available to us. I don't want to quit because I have invested alot into this. I had an MRI done and it showed cerebral-spinal fluid in areas that are not supposed to and they told me that it might be a cyst, so my doctor referred me to a neurologist and I am trying to find one that will see me sooner because most of them can see me in two months. But the reason I wanted to find out exactly how the energy or if it was a fluid works, because my experiences with meditation are incredible. I see images, colors, vibration in by forehead, the top of my head all over my body, electricity and heat in my fingertips. incredible power and energy! besides hearing messages. So I was trying to understand if this experiences or meditations are causing some of the fluid to go to my brain, while I am trying to find out what the neurologist think. I would be very disappointed and sad if they come out and tell me to stop the meditations, because they might not understand anything about the spiritual or metaphysical. Guest guest
Dear Hari Narayan Kaur, Sat Nam! >I had an MRI done and it showed cerebral-spinal fluid in areas that are not supposed to and they told me that it might be a cyst, so my doctor referred me to a neurologist and I am trying to find one that will see me sooner because most of them can see me in two months. * Pray to find one sooner and then call on a regular basis to see if there is a cancellation. Be regular with your intention and calls and you will get an appointment. But the reason I wanted to find out exactly how the energy or if it was a fluid works, because my experiences with meditation are incredible. I see images, colors, vibration in by forehead, the top of my head all over my body, electricity and heat in my fingertips. incredible power and energy! besides hearing messages. So I was trying to understand if this experiences or meditations are causing some of the fluid to go to my brain, * I doubt seriously if the meditations are causing this. I don't know, but I certainly have never heard that before. * If you meditate a lot without being in your body, grounding and focusing on the sensations in your body, there can be alot of energy in the head. This sometimes causes third eye aches and headaches. while I am trying to find out what the neurologist think. I would be very disappointed and sad if they come out and tell me to stop the meditations, because they might not understand anything about the spiritual or metaphysical. * Well they might not understand if they don't have any background in the area. * You do need to find out if there is a cyst or something that needs to be taken care of. But that the cause might be meditation, I doubt it. Maybe too much head stands, but we don't do head stands. You might avoid shoulder stands. * If there is a physical issue that needs to be addressed, it is your body that will heal it. So when you meditate, focus on the perfection of your energy bodies, on your light, on your perfection. Love yourself, love your lessons, love your feelings in your body. Love all those experiences that you are having and feel the energy in your body and healing every part of your body. Love heals. Blessings, Guru Rattana
