Sat Nam All!

Hi. I'm interested in focusing more of my efforts in KY on the nature of

god. I'm not skilled enough to do any of the heavier breath work kriyas, and

am curious if anyone has any recs for mediations that can help me tune into

the reality of god within.

also, if anyone has anything in more general terms they'd care to share

about what they think on when they think on god's identity, I'd just eat it

up!

Thanks so much.

Erin,

God's core identity is 'Equanimity & Evensightedness'.

Cheers,

sat nam erin and all,

wow! what a beautiful way to express yourself, erin, and your search! thanks for

even asking it; i feel good somehow, just for you posting it. i can feel your

excitement and your interest coming through!  anyway, i feel compelled to

connect on your post, even though i haven't done this before.  there are plenty

of opinions i could give on the topic and tell you my perspective, since i too

had the same quest starting at about age 10, believe or not....but.....the one

thing i feel i know for sure is that each of us comes to our own perspectives

through our own exploration of our own topics in whatever way/method feels

appropriate and intuitive....i do also believe that just having an INTENTION to

experience what you want from your exploration will greatly aid in bringing

about the insights --or whatever it is--that you want to experience......and,

well, i guess one other thing that has assisted me a lot has been looking at it

from the perspective

of " exploring " and not " searching. " (searching seems to imply that i lost

something and feels a little stressful to me, while exploring is checking out

exciting new frontiers!)

i've practiced KY very consistently for about 5 years now and there are many

beautiful kriyas and meditations to explore with any intention in place....what

would it be like to explore different kriyas/meditations --but with the same

intention?! i do that often and it is interesting what appears.... " All roads

lead to Rome " they say -- but the countryside probably looks different on each

route/kriya/meditation....ok, i'm getting into cliches, so i'll wrap it up...one

other thing that i do want to mention about expanding and exploring

consciousness is that i also use every day the non-KY tools of the Avatar Course

(www.avatarepc.com). they are cutting edge tools for exploring consciousness

(non-religious, non-dogmatic) and creating exactly what you want to experience,

deliberately, and not by default, from a very " source " perspective. when i did

that course 10 years ago (and when i use the same tools still today), i have a

very clear

experience of the very thing you talk about....for me, it is what lies

underneath/behind all religions.......generally, it is the same experience that

i have when i do a nice KY set!  i do find that using these tools (basically,

you feel your way through a specific mental exercise) has greatly advanced and

deepened my experience of KY in many regards, (and vice-versa!) mostly by

allowing me to move through identities and blocks very easily and settle into

the feel of what you mention. although you ask about KY, i felt i should mention

the Avatar tools, since both KY and the Avatar tools are used for the expansion

and integration of both individual and our group consciousness, and i support

that in all ways, for everyone! (there is a small group of us who use both of

these practices easily.) did i mention that all roads lead to Rome?! thanks a

lot for reminding me of the excitement of the exploration!!

sat nam!!
