Guest guest
Hey Summer, Welcome to the group and congratulations on you A.S., what is it in? It's cool that you have gone back to school. Myself, with a good tail wind I'll be a psychologist in another five years give or take, at the dottering age of 61. So hang in there, you never know where it will lead. Guest guest
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome! I finally finished my AS in Business, and am now going back for a second AS in Wind Energy Technology. We have the only college in the state of Kansas that is offering a degree in Wind Energy, so I feel fortunate and excited! Althought Physics could give me a wee bit of trouble, I'm stoked! Totally opposite direction from last year but I feel really good about it! And I'm in Kansas --- hello, WINDY...lol : peter: Thu, 5 Jun 2008 13:54:36 +0000 Re: New Member Hey Summer,Welcome to the group and congratulations on you A.S., what is it in? Guest guest
Hey Summer, Don't worry about the physics, it's just energy moving from state to state! Best of luck, and congratulations on being at the right place at the right time. <g> Peter , Jeanna Walters <summerwolf2002 wrote: > > > Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome! Guest guest
Thank you for the encouragement! I've used meditation for several years now, as a way to focus, relax, and re-energize and have just now *finally* been able to start taking a yoga class. It was wonderful, and I can't wait for my next class. The first class was really the first time I can remember, in a long time, being able to separate myself from the world around me and focus on my inner energy. I felt marvelous afterwards, and it kept me going for several days! Summer Solstice is my time of renewable energy. If you look up the word " summer " in the dictionary you'll see my picture next to it! Me and my boyfriend, along with some friends of ours, enjoy a campout at a nearby (3 hours away) closed campground, where we focus on rebuilding our inner energy for the coming months. Last years' ritual involved using our strongest herbs or crystals to help build our weaker points. We each sat in the direction we felt most *un-intuned* to, allowing our strengths to build a foundation to work on our weakest aspects through the next months up until Yule. Then during the winter solstice we re-aligned ourselves by meditating on our strongest energies to get us through the winter months. Now it's almost time to recharge again. This year we are doing a " scavenger hunt " throughout the beautiful campout, for anything that appears to you, to use during meditation. I'll be anxious to see what everyone finds. One of our friends is " so not " a summer person, but she was able to focus (since the meditation was done during the high point of the sun day) and really tap into her inner strengths. I can't wait til we get there. It's an incredible place, and during the solstice there may only be 40-50 people scattered throughout the area, which is several acres including a lake. I love spending time sunning to recharge my solar battery (so to speak), and I agree with the person(s) who thinks that doing ritual naked is better. I feel more free to receive energy and to rid myself of negativity without clothing to block the flow. It's all about being comfortable with yourself. And for many that is the hardest part. I hope you don't mind me sharing this - my most memorable meditation at summer solstice was several years ago, while meditating I had hundreds of butterflies sitting on me. I didn't know it until a friend of mine came upon me, and kinda woke me out of my trance. That was the most incredible feeling - not to mention visual - and I would have done anything for a picture. I didn't feel a thing at the time, only complete inner peace. From that moment on, we always bring cameras with us, just in case! Thank you for letting me share! Have a blessed day everyone! As per Big Mamma - " I'm too blessed to be stressed " : peter: Fri, 6 Jun 2008 04:18:50 +0000 Re: New Member Hey Summer,Don't worry about the physics, it's just energy moving from state tostate!
