Guest guest
Sat Nam, Ji's, I have a problem and I need your suggestions. I am a student and this is my last year of school. I have been working on a thesis paper since Spring of 2008. However, I am running into a major block. The chair of my department has not really helped me at all. This situation has become progressively worse. When I meet with her, whatever I say, she will tell me I'm wrong. I can't second guess her because nothing I do is right in her eyes. I really need to finish this paper. I have been in school for a long time and it's time to move on. Can someone please advise a meditation to block her negativity and help her become more positive towards me? Thank you very much and blessings to all of you! Guest guest
Sat Nam Perhaps the observer needs to become the observed. Any meditation will do, any Kriya, any Mantra. The key is to surrender yourself to Guru´s Grace, the wisdom within so you can experience its excstasis, Wahe Guru. A meditation to block your teacher´s negativity and make her become more postitive towards you. But why not try to change the way you are facing her? How about a meditation to make your Neutral Mind manifest in you? A meditation that will allow your Neutral Mind align with your Soul´s intent. It is not the external forces what form our path. It is not your teacher or thesis counselor. It is how you are reacting to her, to your paper, and to your environment. Just do whatever meditation or Kriya you feel like. But do it with Faith in Guru´s Grace. What matters is how you surrender yourself to Guru within and realize that it is you the one to act, to move, to create you own experiences. From the Asa-Di-Var " Myriads of good actions, Myriads of approved virtues, Myriads of austerities at holy places, Or the practice of sahaj yoga In the wilderness; Myriads of heroic deeds And giving up one´s life on the battlefield, Myriads of scriptures And knowledge of them, Concentration And the reading of the Puranas Are vain. For the Creator who created all, And wrote the coming and going of all, Before Him, all devices are false; His grace alone is the true standard Of our being approved " . Guest guest
Hi Gina, Gina Rossi <grossi > Can someone please advise a meditation to block her > negativity and help her become more positive towards me? I fear Jose is right. You obviously feel your tutor is the one with the problem and your negative view of him/her will probably be affecting the way they treat you. Yoga/meditation helps you to understand and slowly emlinate your negative reactions. If you can always respond with grace people are less likely to be negative towards you. You can only change the other person by how you treat them (sadly not by magic kriyas that change the external world - so I believe!). All dysfunctional relationships invovle both sides. In your case who knows how much your subconcious is intervening for its own reasons and concealing its workings from you. Maybe just as much as the tutors is? Probably its mostly the tutors fault - I am sure you don't have this problem with everyone - but the maybe they don't either - different people get along in different ways. Yoga/meditaiton helps you to tolerate an unjuts situation without getting so upset and negative by it - so it will still help. This is I think what Jesus meant by 'Turn the other cheek' - If you can't run away and fighting back would only make matters worse then you can only show strength by enduring the injustice with grace. This strength of endurance is the greatest gift - or skill which you can acquire with yoga. Once things stop hurting you can make the best of situations and help people with problems to find their best side - and then treat you better, Good luck, Keith
Guest guest
Good advice from Adi Singh. . . move the focus from " blocking her negativity " to align more strongly with yourself. I'd like to add, I think a good meditation in this case would be triple protection mantra. I think it has exactly the effect you want, and in the sense that Adi Singh suggested. Essentially, it cuts through ALL negativity and obstacles, both in you, and the ones you face externally. . . which are really just the same thing. Good luck! Guest guest
Sat Nam, The advise on chanting triple mantra is great. Do it 31 minutes every day until this gets resolved. Also whenever you think about the situation say " God bless us in the name of Guru Ram Das. " Keep saying it and send blessings to all concerned. The test is HOW you handel this situation. Blessings, Guru Rattana :+)
