Guest guest
......but please do this soon! Sat Nam Friends, A dear friend, Lavinia Weissman has been living at the Millis Ashram this summer and through a wonderful connection with Nico (Ram Hari Singh), age 7 --- we learned about her capacity as a teacher to bring the teaching of health to all that requires a new perspective, practice and outreach. Many in our Dharma know Nico, age 7, who is the son of Yoga Teacher, Hari Dass Kaur. Nico has Spina Bifuda. When he was born the doctors told Hari Dass he would not be able to sit up and be mobile and go to school or have any capacity to live life well. Hari Dass, like Lavinia, believes that you can discover health believing the impossible. Even when it is a matter of accepting illness or accepting death or just living to be well. Hari Dass and Lavinia formed a partnership this summer to teach Nico a new 'Impossible Dream' of calming himself from the anxiety that comes with his neurological challenges and Lavinia began to talk to Nico about " growing pains " so he can learn to be more independent emotionally and physically. It is a remarkable experience to watch. She has also spoken of a growing movement where autism and schizophrenia are being approached by use of Healing Bowls and Gong Therapy. More on this in the near future. Over the last 15 years, Lavinia has faced, head on, the challenges of health for her parents, daughter and herself....and discovered with the benefit of her career in health infomatics, technology, finance and clinical management how to integrate the spiritual and healing experiences that so many have resisted in the world. Lavinia is now creating an International Non Government Education and Research Center to teach others like Hari Dass about her work and what she knows and to support others to take her work beyond her own limits and bring into the world to redefine how we think of health, fund health and create health in a sustainable economy. Supporting Lavinia to teach is and will lead to change in health for millions of people. *A group of her friends have nominated her for a Grant of $10K to complete her new website and hire an attorney to form her International Teaching Center. Please support her nomination with your vote.* (It will take less than 3 minutes of your time).
