Guest guest
Sat Nam,here is what Yogi Bhajan says: " When the kundalini rises in a person, his radiance increases, his arcline increases and his strength of aura increases. He does not start yelling and going berserk; that is not the effect of the kundalini rising. Yoga is a tool, it is an instrument of Infinity. It is a science through which a person works. It is just like electric current passing through a light bulb. It doesn't matter if the bulb is seventy-five watts or three watts, the current will still make the light shine. It won't burn any filament. It will give light to everybody. And one thing it gives to all, it does not allow a person to be depressed. Whether you call it serpent power, kundalini, the power of Soul Consciousness or Divine Consciousness, the gift of this divine energy gives a person equilibrium. You must remember that whenever your mind is in a state of equilibrium, you will be radiant. Your spirit will rise like the tide. When the moon is near the Earth, there is a high tide. The same thing happens to the spirit of a person. When one is near God, one's spirit is high and radiance is there; the arcline flashes bright and beautiful. " (February 19, 1976)Uttamjit, Rome. Guest guest
Sat Nam All, Interesting question.... I would really love to hear some good answers... My husband had spontaneous kundalini awakening about 4 years ago and we've gone through hell and back when that happened. Of course at that time we knew nothing about Kundalini Yoga or even anything remotely close to it. He thought he was going crazy and almost got addicted to Ambien and Zanax. It's now in the past and he is a new man, but I can see how some people can be afraid of it... Guest guest
Sunny Greetings, I just received a copy of a new book Kundalini Rising, and a companion CD--Awakeen Chakras. Being new to this form of yoga, do others think this is a credible information source? Thank you, Kristy ________________________________ Julie <jul333z Kundaliniyoga Sunday, September 20, 2009 8:27:42 AM Kundalini Yoga Mantra.... Sat Nam... I came accross the following mantra 'Alak, Baba Sri Chand, Derak' which is said to send negativity back to the originator. It stated that this can be used for situations that are unintentional as well as intentional! Apparantly Yogi Bajan used this mantra. I've not been able to find any information about this - can anyone help? Also would sending negative energy back compound the situation instead of creating healing? Does this mantra return the energy with a healing/loving vibration? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated Sat Nam... Guest guest
Sat Nam If you refer to the just published " Kundalini Rising, Exploring the Energy of Awakening " , it is a most if you want to inmerse into a serious study of Kundalini Shakti and the science of Kundalini Yoga. The book offers great chapters written/edited by Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, John Shelby, Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Sat Bir Singh Khalsa, Shanti Shanti Kaur Khalsa, Swami Sivananda Radha, and others. And of course, the legendary ever warning us but encouraging us to do research, the late Gopi Krishna.
