Sat Nam!

I want to thank you for the recommendations on the neck thing. I was going at

it too intensely. It is a very powerful kriya for me and I let my mind get the

best of me there. I watched my video closely while not practicing, and the

teacher does it much much slower than I was.

How long do you usually stick with a certain practice/set before going on to

another? I have no teacher and no other Kundalini yogis live close at all to me

that I know of. I'm pretty isolated and as I mentioned before, I practice with

DVDs. I have planned to do the Maya Fiennes Detox and Destress (which is what I

am doing now) 40 times. I am unable to practice on Sat. and Sun., so that is

five times weekly. I read someone on here post to do a set for a huge number...

I have felt the Kundalini energy rising in my spine for the first time

yesterday, and I felt it again today! :) It was warm and tingly all the way to

my teeth and out the crown chakra! Yesterday, it was fleeting, but today I am

still feeling it a bit an hour after my practice. I have been shown the lesson

that I am to receive this time from this set. Stop fighting. The first and

only time I heard my inner guru speak that is what was said. Later on, in

church, our pastor spoke on Psalm 46:10 " Cease striving and know that I am

God... " other translations say " Be still " . Then, today, my tab on my Yogi Tea

said " The mind is energy. Regulate it. " - Yogi Bhajan :) Loud and clear huh!

It has been my biggest fault I believe. My mind is constantly moving from one

thing to next. I have never been able to truly still my mind for any extended

period yet... I will... :)

I have given up my Sa-Ta-Na-Ma meditation. I decided to after hearing guru

speak. It was only an attempt for me to try to control the results of my

practice. The only right meditation for me right now, is silence. Existing in

the now, and working on stilling the chatter. It was unreal how I could go on

and on with the Sat Nam and be a million other places.

I thank you for allowing me to post hear. Many thanks to Guru Rattana for her

efforts in helping folks practice Kundalini Yoga. I so wish I had a teacher.

My practice is taking me places that I don't know I would have ever gone without

it. It is amazingly beautiful, and I am connected with God regularly for once

in my life.

Sat Nam and Peace!

Kelli
