Guest guest
Hi Kelli, Hillfolkmamma, can you let us know how Gordon's suggestions worked out for you? I'm hoping you are now taking the streaming video classes, because I think they are what you're looking for. Even so, if you can take the hatha class you mentioned once a week or so, it would be very complimentary.
Guest guest
Sat Nam! Thank you for thinking of me. I tried what was recommended and it didn't help. I think it is the internet connection. I have DSL through the phone line. I'm very rural and there is not another option for internet. I so wish I could. I'm just plugging along with videos and books, doing the best I can. I'm being more careful with my knees, and not pushing things. It is better though still sore sometimes. I think that is because I'm not quite as young as I used to be and I've been athletic all my life. Though I'm not old enough to be down and out. Be blessed, Kelli
Guest guest
Too bad about the internet connection! It hasn't been that long for your knees at all; they'll be fine if they are already much improved, just let them rebound completely. I'm always amazed at what will heal if you give it a chance. But when they are 100% okay, experiment with a few frogs to build up your strength, putting as much weight as you can on your fingertips (that way less is on your knees). Or just do a few partial squats to test your knees' tolerance. Frogs are really great- tremendous heart and whole self stimulators! Kundaliniyoga , " Kelli " <kudzumountain wrote: > > Sat Nam! Guest guest
Sat Nam! Don't worry. We are working on making the streaming videos for dial up -- slow internet connections too. The picture will be smaller, but it will work. We will let you know when this is ready. Blessings, Guru Rattana
Guest guest
Dear Guru Rattana, Thank you, thank you for your thoughtfulness. My computer is so slow that I can do most of the housework while waiting...I live far out in the country where there isn't much reception. No cable, nothing, just once in awhile I get lucky. I hope this will help. I sure appreciate everything I receive frrom you and I always share it with others. Peace, Love and Blessings to you always, Doris Augenstein ________________________________ Guru Rattana <gururattan Kundaliniyoga Fri, April 9, 2010 1:12:43 PM Re: Kundalini Yoga Re: Guru Rattana Streaming Online  Sat Nam! Guest guest
Hi Doris, I, too, live in a very remote area and know of your quest for something - anything - as an alternative to dial-up! I think I may have recently discovered the Holy Grail of rural broadband - if you have cellphone coverage in your area, have a USB port on your computer, only want to have one computer online at a time, and would like to dump your dial-up account in favor of a really cool gadget that runs on 1GB cell technology for probably not much more than you're currently paying for your 32Kb service, you might want to take a look at a Wireless USB 760 Modem... they are offered by all the major cell providers. Guest guest
Further tips for those having problems with the online video service. Flash uses a lot of processor capacity on your system. Close all unnecessary programs that may be running in the background. Use the default picture size - larger pictures may look good, but they need much more computing power. Pause playback for several minutes. The video will continue to download in the background. This will enable the download from the server to get ahead of the playback on your system and has helped a lot of people. Do you have sufficient RAM? Ask your dealer. Something else which could be responsible for playback issues is an over-full or defective hard drive. Check available capacity. If it is low, delete any large files that are no longer being used. Remove obsolete programs using the utility provided with your system. Scan your disk to find and repair any problems. Very old computers may be just too slow. Our new system will be based on the latest Adobe streaming technology, will come with a choice of qualities (for different download speeds) and much increased capacity. We hope this will greatly enhance our service to all of our rs, and also bring it, for the first time, to dial-up users. We will let everyone know once our launch date has been finalized.
