International Women's Day March 8th

 

Since 1975, the UN has dedicated March 8th to the celebration of the

women of the world. International Women's Day recognizes that the

path to securing peace,social progress and the full enjoyment of

human rights and fundamental freedoms requires the active

participation, equality and development of women. International

Women's Day acknowledges the contribution of women to the

strengthening of international peace and security. It is an

opportunity to unite, network and mobilise for meaningful change.

 

The theme for the 2007 United Nations events for the International

Women's Day is " Ending Impunity for Violence Against Women. "

invited to participate in the observance of International Women's Day.

 

When practicing the Grace of God Meditation, the Siri Singh Sahib,

Yogi Bhajan, stated that men should say " I am in the grace of God " .
