Guest guest
Sat Nam. has anyone in this group some experience with this disease? What are the " does and don'ts " with KY for it? Any dietary advise for relieve/healing? Are you aware of any specific teachings that Guru Dev Singh (SNR) has suggested to use in the treatment of it? I'd appreciate any help on this topic. Hail, Hail Guru Ram Das and heal the world! Blessings, Dharma Kaur (Chile, NM, Bolivia)

Guest guest
Dear Dharma Kaur: I have had a student who was diagnosed with MS and I am currently helping someone at home with MS. My experience is that people with MS can get easily overwhelmed with postures as pain gets in the way quickly. It takes a lot of discipline to overcome this. I don't know any guidelines from GDS on the sat Nam Rasayan front. Are you asking for yourself or someone else? From my experience I would say this to a person who has MS and wants to heal: You are not MS, you are diagnosed with it. So who are you? The disease can be used as an excuse to escape who you are (like a cloud hides the sun, the cloud of MS is the pain, the drama of it, the restrictions of it, etc) or as a stepping stone, a focal point that nothing can ever get in the way of who you are. The disease can be dropped any time by simply focusing on who you want to be and not let anything get in the way. In simple words (may not be easy to do): give the problems to God and focus on/commit to who you are to be. When you commit to this any pain is part of your healing, so never think of yourself as having MS again. You are diagnosed with MS and you can take it and leave it. Let the doctors treat you as they wish and you go about your life as you wish. Use Kundalini Yoga and SNR to strengthen your will and your nervous and muscular systems. Use them to support you, your quest toward who you are! many blessings, many healings, Awtar Singh
Guest guest
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with MS around 20 years ago. That summer he took off on a cross country bicycle trip by himself. He journeyed from Kansas City to Florida to Washington state and down to California -- alone! I am not saying this is what you should do but to this day his ability to stay active has kept the disease in check. You should fnd KY kriyas and meditations that you can do and practice them religiously. Your battle is not with your body it is with your consciousness. We must not cave in to negativity (disease) but remain neutral towards all events and thereby overcome them. May God bless you and heal you.
