Guest guest
Sat Nam, In the book " The Promise of Energy Psychology " Revolutionary Tools for Dramatic Personal Change by David Feinstein, Donna Eden and Gary Craig are several techniques for dealing with this. David Feinstein is a clinical psychologist, Donna Eden has over 25 years of experience in energy work and Gary Craig has the website: http://www.emofree.com/ his free downloaded manual on using EFT -- finger tapping on meridians is very good and kids will use. In the book, is another method, page 210, called the Wayne Cook Posture. Originally developed in the 1960's to help people who stutter, this exercise has proven effective with dyslexia, ADD, and other learning disorders. 1. Sitting in a chair with your spine straight, place your left foot over your right knee. Wrap your right hand around around your left ankle and your left hand around the bottom of your left foot. 2. Breath in slowly through your nose, letting the breath lift your body as you breath in. At the same time, pull your leg toward you, creating a stretch. As you exhale, breathe out of your mouth slowly, letting your body relax. Repeat this slow breathing and stretching four or more times. 3. Switch to the other foot. Place your right foot over your left knee. Wrap your left hand around your right ankle and your right hand around the bottom of your right foot. Breath in the same way. 4. Uncross your legs and " steeple " your fingertips together, forming a pyramid. Bring your thumbs to rest on your " third eye " , just above the bridge of your nose. Breathe slowly and and deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth, about 3 or 4 full breaths. Then as you exhale, allow your thumbs to separate slowly across your forehead, pull the skin. 5. Slowly bring your hands down in front of you. Surrender into your own breathing. I use this very successfully for dyslexia. The book is very good. The energy balancing exercises are wonderful. (all of this pre-Kundalini Yoga, of course) I hope this is helpul.
