KHALSA YOUTH CAMP 2007

June 25 - July 8th

Ram Das Puri, Espanola NM

As some of you may know, 29 years ago Yogi Bhajan began a spiritual camp for

children with the intention of giving our future Aquarian leaders a summer

camp experience that will support their spiritual identity, build

confidence, self-esteem and connections with children from around the world.

Our camp is located on the summer solstice camp site in Espanola, New

Mexico. The air and water are crystal clean, and vibration uplifting. We

welcome children from all nationalities, and pride ourselves on the cultural

diversity of our campers and counselors.

Why Khalsa Youth Camp?

As parents we may wish to shield our children from the harshness of society,

but we cannot be with them at all times. It seems one of the best ways we

can care for our children is to have a strong practice and to teach them

from an early age the value of spiritual practice and discipline. In this

way our children can begin to develop and refine an inner connection, the

ability to connect to Self within the self and to connect to the heart and

soul when in relationship to others. KYC is unique in that it offers the

teachings of Yogi Bhajan in fun and challenging ways. He once said, " We

want to raise dependable not dependent children. "

KYC begins each day with a specially designed Kundalini yoga and meditation

practice (sadhana) for boys and girls ages 4-12. Daily activities include:

camp seva, Gurdwara, martial arts, ropes course, practical yoga philosophy,

social skills building activities, community field trips, swimming, arts,

bangara dance, hiking, camp carnival, vegetarian meals and more. With the

support from parents and inspired adults and teens, we have continued the

Khalsa Youth Camp experience for our youth. If you'd like to work at camp,

send your children or both, please contact us ASAP. For more information
