Guest guest
Sat Nam, Siri Devta Kaur -- Going back to the beginning, because I don't see where this thread began in time -- Whoever said there was more than One Bij Mantra? Second question, Why would you want or need more than one? Bij means " seed. " What are you trying to grow? (more than one crop?). What is the " harvest " ? Is " Sat Nam " the Bij Mantra that you DO know? Guru Nanak said, " Bij Mantra Sarb Ko Gian, Sat Nam. " Which means literally, " All the wisdom of the universe is contained in the 5 sounds of Sa Ta Na Ma. " If literally everything can be developed out of something so simple, ISN'T THAT ENOUGH? Guru Nanak also said, " I would like to touch the feet of anyone who inspires another to say " Sat Nam, " even by accident. " Sa Ta Na Ma is the inherent structure of the four phases of universal life (Na-Ture). Household Cul-Ture also has 4 nodes and phases: Economy, Ecology, Formal Society and Intimacy. What is happening now, in our time that we've been taught and prepared for, is that Cul-Ture is advancing " one click " on the wheel of Na-Ture. And Ecology is the two-edged sword. Ecology (and global warming) are going to (either) dissolve or destroy capitalism (whichever comes first), AND living in harmony, Eco-Logically, within our mind-bodies and within the world of nature, is going to Germinate and Generate a new Aquarian culture. So this two-edged sword of ecological nature will both destroy and create. And this only became clear to me through the Bij Mantra of Sat Nam. So I'm wondering, you must know something that I don't know. What is it that you want to learn from this other Bij Mantra. Let's figure and find it out together, because if so much can come from just one Bij Mantra, there must be much, much more in this other Bij Mantra. Please Help, Krishna Singh Kundalini-Yoga , " Siri Devta Kaur Khalsa " <siridevta wrote: > > Sat Nam, > That is one Bij Mantra, I need help finding out what are the other (1 > or 2) Bij mantras. > Can anyone help me? Guest guest
Sat Nam Krishna Singh, Well, the short of it is that I am preparing for my final exam in Teacher Training Level 1 and one question asks to list 3 Bij and 3 Ashtangs mantras, and in our manuals and in the many sources I have consulted it only lists Sat Nam. I was told that the other 2 are Ek Ong Kar and Wahe Guru. So, who said it? The writer of exam. Who SAID it? Well that's another question. It wasn't pulled out of thin air. I could imagine the Infinite must have provided for more then one seed to fulfill all our spiritual nutritional needs. Variety? I would need to meditate on each to see what I could personally learn from them. I intuitively feel Truth, Ecstasy and Unity contained in each of them. As Siri Singh Sahibji puts it, Guru Nanak wrote Japji to explain Mul Mantra, and Mul Mantra to explain Ek Ong Kar. Interesting to me is that all 3 Bij mantras are in the Ashtang Mantra, plus Siri. So what does it all mean? I can only answer from my experience, which is that I love all three. I find balance, peace and joy. My TT class recently did 2 ½ hours of long Ek Ong Kar the experience was so different from years past when I have done it in Sadhana for different Gurpurbs, or Siri Singh Sahibji's birthday. It was bliss. Okay, to be honest, first it was emotional, then it was a few other things, then it was sweet sweet bliss. Maybe it was learning for the first time how to set myself, being more aware… TT level one is truly transformational, and the group I have been studying with, each and every one is extraordinary in a beautifully unique way. There was a sense of really wanting to do it together. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Is that enough? I don't know. I do know that some mantras just resonate so deeply, I want to listen to them all day every day. And then there are some that I could use a break from. Which mantras fit into which category changes from time to time. So do you need 3? I am still a student and differ to my teachers and the textbook written under the Master, which says there are 3 and I would say that that means we must need all 3. God Bless you, and thank you for being a part of the journey Siri Devta Kaur
