Guest guest
Could anyone recommend specific foods to fight cancer? I am aware there are healing meditations and kriyas in Kundalini Yoga, but are there any that are recommended for thyroid cancer? I'd once again appreciate any help and advice. Guest guest
Several of us in Santa Fe, NM, just took Dr. Sat Dharam Kaur's course on Breast Health and learned a lot about cancer prevention, care and post-treatment protocols (yogic sets and meditations, diet, detox regimens, etc.). When students would ask about different cancers, many of the same protocols applied. As a naturopathic doctor and expert in women's health & cancer, Dr. SDK is an incredible resource. I would recommend her books on cancer and women's health, which you can view on her website, www.healthybreastprogram.on.ca. The doctor could also be a resource for your specific questions about thyroid cancer. She can be reached at sdk and (519) 372-9212. For you and others interested in this subject, I would also recommend hosting Dr. Sat Dharam Kaur to teach the weekend course in your community. After taking the course, I feel that I have an extraordinary grasp of how to be healthy now and how to care for my family. For instance, I learned that women dump 50% of their toxic load through their breast milk, so it's recommended that every girl and woman go through a detox regimen several months before they plan to conceive. The information in the course is very specific and profound.

Someone may need to eat raw meat, someone else may need to become vegan... it is all very personal. But in general, a person who is affected by cancer needs to make their diet very alkaline. There are lists of foods that are acid creating and alkaline creating. But again, some folks are stressed by or allergic to certain foods... so we have to be careful in making suggestions without having access to this information. I have not heard of a meditation that helps with thyroid cancer, just meditations or postures that help regulate the thyroid glands. If I had a friend in that situation I would meditate with them and seek guidance through intuition about what is truly going on for them, what foods would be most helpful, what meditations, and, metaphorically speaking, what it is that is stuck in their throat that they have such a hard time letting go of. Once they can let go, their health might come back quickly... or they may have gotten exactly what they were here to get... and they will move on... either way, it won't be a failure... even if they don't consciously get it ... what they are living right now isn't failure... it is driven by consciousness... it is a blessing! My heart is with you! Note: Throat cancers are not slow (as far as I know, so they also need medical supervision and advice quickly which I assume they are already seeking...) Guest guest
Speaking of cancer, food, natural medicine, Ayurveda and alkaline diets- All of this, and more, is covered in my recent book, Body Balance (Kensington Publishing), which extensively covers the topic of pH, diet and the body chemistry. It includes the naturopathic, medical, Ayurvedic and East Asian perspectives. In the book you will find the lists of alkaline and acid foods previously mentioned. I have several copies for sale. Please contact me personally if interested. To my knowledge, Ancient Healing Ways does not carry my book but might be prevailed upon to order it for you, if you ask them.
