Guest guest
Sat Nam, This summer, on the first night of the LifeCycle and LifeStyles: Living a Purpose Filled Life course, we will dedicate the evening to remembering and honoring the passing of our beloved teacher, Yogi Bhajan and to honoring the process that all of us as students of the Master have shared. This day holds significance for all of us as teachers and students of the Master. The program will be broadcast live from Espanola through Sikhnet. If you are not able to join us in person, please tune into the course and share the time with your students in meditation. If you are planning on coming to Espanola for this evening event or for the course (July 1 - July 8th) and have not registered, please contact us at teachertraining. This course is continuing to grow and we want to be prepared to serve all of the students who are coming from around the globe. 1,000 Days The Numerology and the Experience The number 1,000 symbolizes both completion and mastery. As we mark July 2nd 2007, the 1,000th day since Yogi Bhajan's passing, we honor both the experience of completion and we also honor new beginnings. The number 1,000 is 10 to the power of 3 which signifies completion and wholeness in each of three realms: the individual realm, the group realm and the universal realm. It also symbolizes the three gunas, as well as the past, present and future, which all become one in this timeless moment. Since 1000 is also 2x5 to the power of 3, it reflects mastery of our inner dualities and doubts across the realms of the five elements and is thus a moment of weightlessness. The cycle of 1,000 days presents us with a unique moment of choice in which we can honor all that went before and also open our prayers for all that shall follow. In relation to the passing of our Spiritual Teacher from his earthly body, this occasion of 1,000 days marks the completion of our cycle of integration as a family within our global communities as well as all the decisions related to that process of integration. It is the completion of our group karmas and the beginning of the universal destiny in which each person exists as a subtle embodiment of the consciousness of the Dharma itself. On the evening of this sacred day we plan use the energy of our group psyche to plant the seeds of the future, to honor the timeless teachings and to embrace our opportunity to match the challenges we face with our own excellence. Let this moment in time be a celebration of our family's joint sense of purpose and gratitude for these divine teachings. Let us agree to agree to be beacons of light that show the way to the world through our fearless embrace of life and our graceful flow of love to all. The yoga class we will do together that afternoon is called: Living Weightlessly in the Quality of Completion That We Reach at the End of Life. It is devoted to letting go of duality and crossing over into the Infinite Self.
