Guest guest
As we draw near to July 2nd, the 1,000th day since Yogi Bhajan's passing, we invite you to actively participate in observance of this powerful threshold. The culmination of this cycle represents a time of reflection, choice, and renewal. While some possibilities and resources offered to you here, you are encouraged to draw on your own experience and creativity to formulate a remembrance that is meaningful to your community and to you as an individual. The number 1,000 is 10 to the power of 3, which connotes the coming together of past, present and future into the wholeness and completion of the timeless moment. We are envisioning a 3 day energy, giving opportunities to remember and honor the past (July 1), fully experience the potency of the present (July 2), and look to the future as we renew our conscious commitment as Legacy Bearers (July 3). Sunday, 7/1: In Espanola, there will be a special Gurdwara that will include the playing of the Siri Singh Sahib's last lecture, performance of a Raag composed in his honor, and a recounting of the history of the mother ashram here. In whatever form, this Sunday can be a day of gathering in remembrance of the Master, deep gratitude, and reflection on the experiences of the last 1,000 days. Monday, 7/2: The Level 2 LifeCycles & Lifestyles course will provide a vehicle for our coming together on the evening of this sacred day. From 8:00 to 9:00 pm, Snatam Kaur and Gurucharan Singh will present Naad Yoga, honoring the moment of Yogi Bhajan's passing. This will be broadcast live on sikhnet.com. The following link will be the " watch video " address for the broadcast: http://www.sikhnet.com/sikhnet/register.nsf/ram/YogiBhajan/%24File/listen.ram Viewing this video stream will require broadband internet (not dial-up) and realplayer or real alternative (the recommended option), which can be downloaded from: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/real_alterna\ tive.cfm Naad Yoga will be followed by the Yogi Bhajan DVD class, " Crossing the Hour of Death, " which includes an extended guided meditation on the dying process. This class will be available as streaming video at http://www.kriteachings.com for the entire 3 day period of 7/1 – 7/3. The LifeCycles course on 7/2 will include a segment on letting go of duality and crossing over into the Infinite Self. If you wish to participate in the energy of this, the meditation " Living Weightlessly & Breaking the Bonds of Earth " will also be available in written/picture format on kriteachings.org. Tuesday, 7/3: Just as Monday is the ending of a 1,000 day process, Tuesday is the beginning of the next. You are invited to take the time, in whatever form seems suitable, to consciously acknowledge your commitment to carry on and embody the Legacy of the Teachings. This might manifest as silent contemplation, a meditation for renewal, a group discussion or visioning, or your unique expression. Our time has come to step fully into the role of truly living the Legacy and learning what that will mean for us, individually and collectively. Accept this invitation to honor the journey that has brought you to this day, renew your commitment to living your Destiny, and hold and support one another in this process. This 1,000th Day observance of the passing of our Spiritual Teacher from his earthly body is a time to come together and experience ourselves as a global community and carriers of the Legacy. At whatever time and in whatever way you choose, reap the potential and power available in this unique and precious moment in time. Share it with your students, fellow teachers, and community. Sat Nam, Blessings. Humbly in service, Hari Charn Kaur Khalsa KRI Aquarian Teacher 3 Ram Das Guru Place, Espanola, NM 87532 505-367-1338 FAX 505-753-5982 PLEASE REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE AT haricharnk.
