We are excited to share that we have some great kids yoga training coming up!  Radiant Child Yoga and Childplay!  Details below!  Kids Yoga Teacher Training: RADIANT CHILD YOGA PROGRAM - LEVEL 1      w/Cristin (Simran)     6:00  - 10:00 PM   Friday   8/10   &       1:00  - 7:30 PM   Saturday   8/11 Radiant Child Yoga Program is a certificate training program for yoga teachers, school teachers, parents, therapists, day-care workers, and others interested in learning GIVING CHILDREN THE GIFT OF YOGA. This insightful program is designed for all yoga traditions and for all levels of experience with either children and/or yoga. Level 1 (RCYP-I): * Overview of children's yoga: benefits for children, teachers, and parents * Inspiration & Intention * Guidelines for teaching children at different ages, from toddlers to teens * Meditation for children/yoga stories, songs, games * Tips for keeping children focused and cooperating * Yoga for special needs, DSI, ADD/ADHD * Structuring/marketing children's yoga classes * Adapting yoga for schools * Introduction to Brain Gym * Exercises for anxiety, helping with crisis * Keeping ourselves aware and focused while working with children * Sample yoga classes for younger and older children Level 1 course includes: Fly Like A Butterfly: Yoga for Children book, RCYP-1 Giving Children the Gift of Yoga training manual, and a CD Children’s Yoga Songs & Meditations (retail value: $45). Certificate given upon completion and opportunity to be listed on www.childrensyoga.com. $250 tuition, $25 off early registration two weeks ahead; $50 additional off if you register for level 1 and 2 at the same time (must mail a check). This insightful program is designed for all yoga traditions and for all levels of experience with either children and/or yoga. Level 2 (RCYP-II): * Your own personal practice--Experience the transformative power of yoga and meditation. * Using yoga sets to create body/mind changes * Focus on meditation and pranayam (breathing) with children * More in-depth study of children’s yoga: alignment/safety, connecting with all kinds of children, meditation and more games * Healthy foods for children * Group Practice & Presentations--Collaborate in small groups to present a program of children's yoga. Bring creative ideas/props you want to use. Level 2 course includes: RCYP-2 Growing in Awareness, Living Your Practice training manual, Kundalini Yoga book, and the companion CD Deeply Relax & Meditate-Music and Mantra (a $40 retail value). A Creative and Expressive Yoga-Based Program for Children -- The Childplay Yoga program prepares you to work with children 3-12 years old, as well as teens and adults who are eager to connect to their inner child and regain a lightness of being. A playful, spirited weekend, with great tools and fun experiences, like yoga-without-words put to Cirque de Soleil music. Gurudass Kaur has been training children and adults in yoga for 35 years.
