Guest guest
Sat Nam. The mantra I use when the cold water hits, and during the cold shower is "Ang Sang Wahe Guru." (it's a great reminder that God is, indeed, in every part of all of us.) In the book, "Kundalini Yoga:The Flow of Eternal Power" I titled the section about the yogic morning routine, "Shout it in the Shower." In the beginning I had to psych myself up to get into just cold water -- sort laundry for a few minutes, put away dishes, but now after 37 years, I really, really LIKE cold showers -- in fact, I'm addicted to them! As you may know, when the cold water hits the surface of your skin, all the blood way inside comes rushing to the surface in self defense! It's great for circulation, and definitely wakes you up. (Of course, I live in Los Angeles, where Cold isn't the same COLD as in Canada and other northern climes!) Keep trying, you'll be glad you did!
