" Below are exerpts from an essay/poem I wrote in 2001 on " Who is the Guru. " Blessings, Guru Rattana (Guru Rattan Kaur Khalsa, Ph.D. Coronado/San Diego *** Who is the Guru? *** You ask, " Who is the Guru? The Guru is the bridge to non-physical reality. The Guru is a telecommunications link between human and Divine. The Guru delivers you from darkness to Light. The Guru opens the door to divine wisdom. " How does the Guru operate? " The Guru is a vehicle to establish the flow of energy. The Guru quickens and aligns frequencies. The Guru elevates you to a relationship with the infinite. The Guru introduces you to a partnership with the cosmos. The Guru consolidates your connection with God. The Guru establishes the flow of give and receive from Source. The Guru tunes you into a relationship with the cosmos. The Guru facilitates alignment with creative consciousness. *** Relationship with the Guru *** " How can I establish a relationship with the Guru? " Divine Words facilitate your connection with the Guru. The Guru connects through the holy scriptures. The Guru speaks through divine mantras. The Guru sends messages through the breath and the wind. The Guru meets you half way When you connect to the divine vibration embodied in holy books When you chant devotional songs When you establish an energetic soul connection within yourself. You can establish a relationship by reading from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. The Siri Guru Granth Sahib can be your Guru. This sacred book contains the writings of over forty men of God. They recorded their experiences in the state of God consciousness. Their words resonate at a divine frequency. Their clarity aligns you with the purity of the Light. Their purity synchronizes you with vibration of Love. When you read these words, the sounds create a bridge between you and God. The substance of the Word anchors the Divine Essence into your psyche.
