Guest guest
Sat Nam to everyone, I have always enjoyed reading the wonderful, informative, information from this group and usually do not have anything to post, up till now. I have a friend who is a high risk pregnancy and she is aware that I practice (on and off) KY Yoga and asked if I knew any mantras that she could chant to help her provide protective energy for her and the baby. She is unable to sit for extended periods of time, so anything that she can chant while driving or walking or the like would be ideal but please let me know what you think. Please help!! Thank you Kanwal

Too dangerous. She really needs to let her body vibrate to the chant and remain closely aware the whole time, losing herself in it. So No Driving! OK? One chant I'd suggest is for protection: Hands in prayer pose (forget what the mind wants to be distracted by, including fears...) Inhale, then chant: Aad Guray nameh Jugaad Guray Nameh Sat Guray Nameh Siri Guru Dev-eh Nameh Inhale. Repeat for 11 minutes. She can also chant for healing: Elbows against the ribs, forearms 45 degrees up & 45 degrees to the sides, hands face up parallel to the ceiling: Ra Ma-a Da Sa (brief silence) Sa Say-ay So Hung (with the navel activated gently at the first Sa and at the Hung, even pregnant, she can still do it now because of her high risk situation she probably needs to talk to her doctor about it engaging her navel...) She can also chant: Guru Guru Wahe Guru Guru Ram Das Guru for Guru Ram Das's protection. (in prayer pose or Gyan mudra) Blessings, Awtar Singh Rochester, NY
Guest guest
There's nothing wrong with chanting while driving! Just don't close your eyes!
