Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have been teaching for the past couple of years and am currently going thru level 2. I have been asked to teach to a group of people who are on an alcohol and drug program. I only have 40 minutes a week with them and we have to sit on chairs. I would be so grateful if anyone has some suggestions as I want to make my time with them as productive as I can. Blessings and love Didar Kaur Austrlia
Guest guest
Sat Nam Didar Kaur, I would teach the Meditation for Addiction, kriyas that help cleanse and support the liver (there are several short sets), and meditations which help clear anger, grief and self acceptance. I'm not certain how specific you want the answer to be and I'll gladly be more specific if that is your desire. How wonderful of you to fill that great gaping hole left by the absence of their drug of choice be filled with spirit and love of their own divine selves. I can assure you from my own experience as a recovering alcoholic that Kundalini yoga will be very very effective. I taught an hour class in a women's drug and alcohol recovery center for a couple of years and though many of the women did not participate actively in the kriyas, they were required to be in the room. During my last class there, the women surprised my by putting on a short play they had written and guess what.... they heard the teachings. Blessings to you, Guru Gopal Kaur
