Meditations and body-tightening / eggs

I used to do Kundalini Yoga and remember the bit at the end where we

locked our anuses, then tightened every part of our bodies and sent

energy upwards, twice. We were told it was essential to do this after

yoga.

 

I've recently started doing the Shabd meditation daily again, and

would like to ask:

Is it essential to do the body-tightening bit after meditations, or

only after doing physical exercises?

 

Regarding eggs, I suppose the breeding of chickens for egg production

has Kharmic consequences, because only the females are used, and you

need to consider: what happens to the male chicks? Answer - they would

usually be killed and eaten.

 

I suppose this is a mis-use of the chicken's ability to breed. Whether

that would impact particularly on women, could be a complicated and

perhaps politically charged question!

 

But whichever gender you are, it's best not to eat eggs. Even if

you're male, and possibly in a position to get away with less Kharmic

damage.

 

Quite a few people (of both sexes) are allergic to eggs anyway.
