Sat Nam--Those movements sound to me like Rebellious Stomach Channel Chi

or as it is known in Western Medicine as Parkinson's Disease. For an

alternative approach and for self-education on the drugs used for this

and an alternative Oriental medicine based approach check out

www.pdrecovery.org and the two books posted there _RECOVERY FROM

PARKINSON'S DISEASE_ and _MEDICATIONS OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE._ These

works are based on the research done by thet Parkinson's Recovery

Project in Santa Cruz, CA and written by Janice Walton-Hadlock.

People who aren't diagnosed recover quicker perhaps because they

haven't been told they have an incurable disease. To do this approach,

it is important not to take Parkinson's drugs for more than 3 weeks as

they are addictive and irreversibly change the brain. The first 4 years

of the research project, people who were taking drugs and people who

weren't both participated. All started to improve, but those on the

drugs developed parkinsonism (parkinsons from taking the drugs which

causes worse symptoms than they had in the first place and became

hopless addicted to their drugs...the disease had prevented that at

first but as they got better, this protection was gone and some horrible

things happened. Now they do not take people on drugs as part of the

project.

How do I know this? My husband has been diagnosed with Parkinson's

Disease. Blessedly we live in Santa CruzCA and by Guru Ram Das's grace

we were guided in this direction.

Whether one plans on using western medicine or not, these online books

are very informative. They have info that is not available elsewhere.

Of course, this is all very controversial and will not be accepted by

most western medicine practitioners and neurologists at this time.

Reading these books is not easy--they are grim, in fact. My husband and

I read them aloud to each other because I couldn't handle reading them

emotionally. The stories told in them were echoed at a Parkinson's

Support Group that we went to--people driving off the road when they

suddenly fell asleep while taking Mirapec and blacking out in the mashed

potatoes after eating aged cheese, beef and wine while on Azilect.

Janice Walton-Hadlock is on the staff at Five Branches Acupuncture

School in Santa Cruz, CA and can be contacted via them. The Parkinson

Recovery Project is a loosely connected group of practitioners...I think

most of them are acupuncturists but this project doesn't do conventional

acupuncture, at least usually.
