Numerology question - 1900 and an unusual biography

mathematically, zero is a number, and a gift that comes up only once

per century [they don't give many of these gifts out, do they? ]

 

it's the gift of Shuniya, emptiness, Infinity (Wahe Guru), whereas all

the other numbers correlate to subtle bodies, the ten Gurus, and the

Guru Granth Sahib as 11.

 

my uncle was born in 1900, a visionary pioneering astrologer in the

early 20th century, was a economist, a pioneer in development of radio

communications, a painter, and serious social critic who published a

newsletter of economic advice that was d to internationally

for 50 years, from 1929 to 1979. and he was incredibly toughminded as

a writer and conversationalist, " tough as nails " you might say, but

also sensitive, loving and a generous visionary in his private life of

family. this was probably a necessary format for a successful 20th

century visionary life (not to be eaten alive by the " dog eat dog " of

worldly existence), grappling with reality in a barbaric piscean

political economic system.

 

as a survival strategy, he and several other former graduate students

from University of Washington, Seattle, whose mentor had died

(legendary social philosopher-historian Vernon Parrington) in 1929,

had nothing more to stick around for in graduate school because the

real light they had studied under had passed on, and the stock market

had crashed. it was time to " get to work, " so to speak. they

surmised that one of the strong contributing factors to the insanity

of the market crash was " no reliable tabular, statistical data about

what's going on in the economy " that left investors blind. (nowadays

with fox news and the wall street urinal, investors can be vigilant

and rapacious) so they invented a publication that would publish real

business news on a weekly basis, each (with his spouse) toured the

country, stayed in hotels from town to city to town, and pre-sold

subscriptions to bankers, investors, brokers, anyone who needed to

know how to be more wise in economic risks and investments. they

lived off the pre-sales, and when the r list was subsantial

enough they took the " publication concept " they had invented and sold

it completely to a publisher, and walked away with something, but not

equity in the final enterprise (equity wasn't the point at that

moment, survival was).

 

That was the launch of Business Week magazine. Merely an idea dreamed

up by visionary former graduate students, and " faked " until it was

made real, and the pre-sale promises were made good. (That last part

is very important in peddling fantasy. Our culture just replaces one

fantasy with the next and no one gets to reality. That's also very

important to be aware of. Kundalini Yoga IS the reality in such a

game of mirrors in which we now live).

 

So, that's a thumbnail sketch of the multitude of gifts experienced by

someone I knew quite well, who was born in 1900. He was my Godfather.

I got nickles and dimes and a lot of tough love from my uncle. it was

a priceless relationship.

 

until my spiritual teacher replaced him as my Godfather. He had

the gift of Eleven - Everything Under the Sun ! and he shared it

freely with all of us.
