Sat Nam;

I am looking for the Gurbani passage (original Gurmukhi Script) that

was the inspiration behind " I would make myself a slave " by Singh

Kaur on her Peace Lagoon volume 1 CD. I have been told that I could

find these words in the old " Peace Lagoon " book, but I have not found

a passage in there which is close all the lyrics of this song. It has

also been suggested that this originated from Sukhmani Sahib, but I

have read Sukhmani Sahib many many times and have found no one

passage with all of the messages contained in this song. It is pretty

clear to me that she is singing a translation of a passage of

Gurbani. Perhaps she wove it together from several different sections

of Gurbani. I am hoping that there is someone that has been around

long enough to have known her or to have been involved in the

production of her music or anyone who might know where in the Siri

Guru Granth Sahib this song/shabad really came from. If so I would

greatly appreciate hearing from you!

Thank you!

Wahe Guru!

It is in Peace Lagoon, in the Hymns of Guru Ram Das, 1st verse of Rag

Suhi (p. 212 in the 4th edition).
