Hi friends,

I hope you and your family are all safe as the fire

tradgety around San Diego County continues to affect

as all. You have been in my prayers this week as the

fires spread through the area. You may be feeling a

bit stressed or experience simptoms related to the

smoke and ash in the air. Yoga can help heal all

these fire related illnesses.

This Sunday's yoga class will reflect the mood of the

week in San Diego. It will be an opportunity to relax

and let go of any anxiety you are holding focusing

heavily on Sivasana (relaxation posture) and pranayama

(breathing excercises).

Breathing has been an issue this week for many of us.

In this weeks class we will learn a few ways to

breathe conciously to eliminate toxins in the lungs

and through out the body. We will do fewer asanas

(postures) then normal to allow extra time for

breathing exercises and extended relaxation periods.

In the meantime test yourself by lengthening you

exhales; for a few minutes a day try to make you

exhale double the lenghth of you inhale. This simple

breath tool will help you expel air that remains

stagnant in the bottom of you lungs.

The yoga class is on Sunday at 10:00 am at 2971 India

Street in San Diego.

Your first class is always free!

Also, Deva Premal will be in Encinitas on Sunday

evening performing at the Seaside Church. I have

never seen her in concert but I love her music. This

should be an exciting Kirtan (musical chanting) event.

If you would like to carpool with me to the concert I

have room for three people to ride with me. You can

find more information at

http://www.devapremal.com/events_home.htm. Let me

know if you are interested.

I look forward to see you this Sunday. Come to yoga

class, breath deeply and relax this weekend.

Sat Nam, Namaste, Om Shanti,

Maha Shakti

Find peace within, then see it everywhere
