traditional hair care

I am following the recommendations by Yogi Bhajan to grow the hair

without cutting it. I live in a northern climate and find that my

hair is quite dry at the moment. As well, the longer my hair grows,

the more that I seem to loose in a day (the bathroom floor is a

distressing site after I comb my hair).

I read that a mixture of oil and yogurt is beneficial for the hair. I

haven't found what the traditional hair care nor the proper mix is for

longer hair. Is there a way not to have so much of my hair fall out at

the combing/brushing times?

Looking forward to any suggestions or tales of experience. Thank you

in advance.

I wrote a pretty substantial article on hair care in Ayurveda

and yoga for a yoga magazine a while back.

Feel free to contact me off the list for a copy.
