Guest guest
Sat Nam Group, Just wondering if any senior teachers, or others with some experience teaching privates, could offer any advice or wisdom. I have been asked to teach a woman privately at her home as often as 5 times a week over the course of a month as an initial commitment. She has some issues with carpal tunnel and some back pain, so I thought I could initially teach her the basics and some breath work. And over that month start to integrate Kriyas and meditations that are recommended for her ailments. At the end, reccomend she take on one Kriya and meditation for 40 days, and then re-visit the idea of further privates. I also want to encourage her to be a part of some community classes as well. And I think, she wants privates, so that it is more catered to her specific needs as she starts to develop a Kundalini practice. Any advice about things to know, or do, when teaching privately would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there some sort of legal document I should present? Is there a place to obtain that, or write something up myself? Additionally, I'm having an issue in deciding a fee for doing this. I want to take into consideration that I will be travelling to her home almost daily, so want that to be factored in, but I'm not sure what would be fair. Anyone with any insight about this please feel free to contact me or post here. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Just want to mention, that before any of this happens I plan to meet with her to talk and see specifically what she is looking to accomplish, just so its clear that it is a match and possible. She is a co-worker of my roomate so I have met her once or twice before. Blessings and thanks, Mukhtiar Singh
