Guest guest
Sat Nam Group! Its Sarobjot Singh in Charlotte, NC. I have posted a few times in response to musculoskeletalpain issues. In short based on Atwar Sing's recommendation of posting services of value to the community I am promoting my successful workshops on addressing and eliminating chronic pain. I love KY! However it is often not enough, in the information age and white collar environments, to address the chronic pain epedemic. Sound interesting? blasphemous? Please read more. Professionally I have a private practice using soft tissue and postural therapies and give workshops to health care and fitness professionals and also the general public. My background is rehabilitation, massage therapy, neuromuscular therapy, structural integration and a posture therapy called the Egoscue method of Health Through Motion. I was in the sausage machine of the health care system and then out (switching t massage and now being consulted by MD's once again after seeing their patients get results where " regular care " had not. Grass roots has always been my best advertisement so here goes: Why should you invite me to teach this workshop to you and your students, patients, clients, peers, etc? 1. # 2 reason we go to the doctor is pain. the # 1 response is usually a prescription. 2. I posted before talking about peoples pain with KY sets and the pain not going away. KY was created thousands of years ago and not in the information age. For example: My fiance' is KY instructor and until we met had lots of chronic pain. Now after months of proper motion and corrections to workstation, habits, and addressing perpetuating factors she is virtually pain free. 3. Information age = our bodies do not get sufficient and proper motion to maintain BASIC musculoskeletal health. ***** The key is SUFFICIENT AND PROPER. being hunched at our work stations or doing the same thing over and over creates compensatory muscle behaviour and a lot of muscular dysfunction. Practice makes permanent. 4. the medical system is not designed to treat chronic conditions nor teach people how to care for their physical bodies. 5. The " Posture Pain Performance Prevention Workshops " A. teach strategies to address our workstation ergonomics; B. educate on the identification of perpetuating factors which cause or perpetuate chronic pain; C empower people with information about the correction of faulty body mechanics with easy to learn exercises; D The relationship between posture and musculoskeletal and myofascial pain, including repetitive strain injuries and occupational use syndromes will be established and explored. E SOLUTIONS will be provided, taught, and participants will have a competent grasp of these solutions! Thanks for reading. I am in Charlotte and can drive regionally and fly anywhere given enough participants to break even. For more info on the Postural Program I base my workshops on goto www.egoscue.com Sat Nam and be well, Sarabjot Singh, Marty kestin, BS, MSW, LMBT
