Guest guest
Sat Nam, Is there a CD out there somewhere with the Sikh morning prayers on it, so that a person can learn these prayers - chants? If not, can someone give me the names of each one so that I may check and see if they are listed on a website so I can get the words and maybe even how to pronounce them? I know that this site lists a lot of recordings and they may be on it, but you have to know what to look for. http://www.sikhnet.com/Sikhnet/Music.nsf/by+Format Thank you, Sat Avtar Kaur
Guest guest
Sat Nam, There are many many wonderful recordings of the Sikh morning and evening prayers. Here are the names of the prayers... 5 morning prayers: Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasaad Svaiye, Choapaee Sahib, Anand Sahib evening prayer: Rehiras Sahib bedtime prayer: Kirtan Sohilaa The largest library of these recordings (that I have found online) exists through the following link: http://www.rajkaregakhalsa.net/sound.htm Go to this webpage and then click on the " prayers " folder. This will open up a page with many Sikh prayers. For the morning prayers you will click on any of the 5 bani's listed above (Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, etc). Within each of these folders there are many many recordings by various " artists. " Any of these recordings are excellent. My personal favorites are the recordings by... Prof. Sat Nam Singh Sethi Giani Sant Singh Ji Maskeen Giani Thakur Singh Bhai Harbans Singh Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Thank you.
