Sat Nam Kundalini teachers!

 

By popular demand, Yoga Yoga in Austin is hosting another weekend (January

18-20) with Mehtab on Gong Yoga. Classes include:

 

Nada Yoga: Using Sound and the Gong in Yoga Classes (Friday, 1/18 12:30-4:30)

 

Gong Gong Gongathon: A Concert and Gong Celebration (Friday night 6:30-8:30)

 

How to Play the Gong: Mastering the Fundamentals (Saturday 12:30-5:30)

 

How to Play the Gong: Developing Your Skills (Sunday 12:30-5:30)

 

We will have 4 gongs in the studio for the classes and the learning to play the

gong classes are limited to 24 people. Please (or paste in

About Mehtab

Mehtab Benton completed his first Kundalini Yoga teacher-training program in

1974 at the Hargobind Ashram in San Rafael, California where he taught Kundalini

Yoga in the public schools and in drug rehabilitation programs. He is a Level 1

and Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and an Experienced 500-Hour

Registered Yoga (ERYT-500). He has an educational background in psychology with

advanced training in Integrative Yoga Therapy.

Mehtab is a three-time presenter at the Southwest Yoga Conference and a

recipient of the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher's Association " Building

Communities in Yoga " award in 2000. He has taught Kundalini Yoga workshops and

classes to students and teachers from around the world at the annual Kundalini

Yoga Summer Solstice gathering in New Mexico. He is on the Board of Directors

for the 3HO Foundation, dedicated to spreading teachings of Kundalini Yoga as

taught by Yogi Bhajan, as well as serving as president of the Yoga Care

Foundation, created to sponsor yoga research and yoga education for

disadvantaged populations.

 

Mehtab is the author of ten books, including a book on Yoga and the Gong, and

over 100 articles on health, diet and nutrition. He has trained yoga teachers in

the art of playing the gong for meditation and relaxation and has taught weekly

Yoga of Sound classes since 1999. He was a featured instructor in the University

of Texas Master Class series where he played the gong and lectured on the

practice of yoga.

 

Mehtab, along with his wife Guru Karam, is the founding partner of the Yoga Yoga

studios in Austin, Texas that employs over 100 yoga teachers and serves several

thousand yoga students weekly.
