Guest guest
sat nam - this winter solstice I attended a class where Shabd Kriya was given and the instruction was to exhale through the mouth. Since the manual I have doesn't specify mouth or nose (but we usually assume nose if no instruction is given), I asked the teacher about this. He said it was shown to him this way by another teacher. I havent' been able to contact this other teacher yet, but wanted to ask the group if anyone can clarify. Exhaling through the mouth put me in a very trancey state, but I don't know if it's correct. sat nam, -Baba Singh
Guest guest
Yogi Bhajan gave Shabd Kriya to practice before bed and said if practiced regularly, your sleep will be deep and relaxed. The meditation sheet I have does not indicate to exhale through the mouth, it says: "Inhale through the nose.....Then exhale in 2 equal strokes, mentally projecting Wahe Guru." So I always do the inhale and exhale through the nose since he didn't say otherwise. If you want to besure, you could get the audio tape from KRI. It was taught on April 1, 1974.
