Guest guest Posted January 2, 2008 Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 Sat Nam Hi everyone Well 3ho Centre in sydney is going to organise teacher training , i am interested but i am not sure whether its necessary to learn kundalini Yoga or not through this training. ? Or if yes than what will be the difference of doing it here in sydney and in Espanola Asharam? Can anyone please convey me thoroughly how it may help me , i will greatly appreciate your time , i am still double minded . It is a comprehensive introduction to the teachings. The experience energetically ties you to this lifestyle that will allow you to have a happy, healthy and holy life while living in this world. No matter in which venue you get the experience, Teacher Training is a process that provides you with tools that make your life and the lives of those around you better. Looking back, I can't imagine life without the knowledge and experience TT gave me. Further, the teachings inspired commitment and discipline in me that I had yet to know. By Harijiwan Most of the world’s religions and mythologies point toward the year 2012 as a major turning point in our planet’s history. Guest guest Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 Sat Nam, When I decided to open Yoga House Studio I immediately set out to create a Teacher Training for students of kundalini yoga that wanted to deepen their practice and that might want to teach this amazing technology that Yogi Bhajan gave to us. Although I lived in a 3HO ashram for most of the 1980s - before there was a formal training program - and had studied directly with Yogi Bhajan for years, I took the Level 1 teacher training and found it very valuable. Like the others who have written on this site I believe the Teacher Training experience is not just about gathering facts and information - it's an opportunity to connect to the Golden Chain of teachers of Kundalini yoga and to practice with others serious about this yoga and meditation technique. Trainers bring an experience with this connection through years of practice to their students - and in this environment students have a safe place and the opportunity to experience their consciousness and inner voice in a new way. This is not something you can get in a book or in a 90 minute class. Everyone at KRI is working hard to ensure that the training process is a valuable one; each training will be a little different depending on the time and space and the trainers and students involved. Necessary? This is not the word I would have chosen to promote the training experience; useful, rich in texture, fun, empowering, edifying, challenging, for some even life changing - these are some words I would choose instead. If you don't want your life to change, don't do teacher training. For many years in Sydney there was no KYTT. When I was living in Sydney my choices were to travel to Melbourne every month or go to New Mexico for the intensive. For me the intensive was the right choice at that time, because I could combine it with a trip home to NYC. You will have to decide what works best for you. But, please, do it! It is a blessing to go through this transformation, and if you are going to teach, then your students deserve a teacher who has surrendered to this process, who is willing to make the effort.
