Guest guest
Dear Amrit, I love when athletes come to my KY class and say, " I am just doing this, but I need real exercise, " I laugh, because they are usually the ones groaning the loudest during the class process. In a nutshell, KY uses pumps and vacuums and the body's own weight for resistance, as well, KY works on the cranio-sacral rythm and connective tissue around both the bones and muscles. Your connective tissue, in addition to holding your body together in one spot, secretes the neurotransmitters that awakens your enzyme production, balances the sympathetic with the parasympathetic nervous systems (one stimulates the other relaxes), and the glandular system comes into play. The nervous system balances out the glandular system and the glandular system feeds the nervous system. This creates a circular energetic flow inside the body that feeds your light within. I would not consider just doing yoga without mainstream exercise, nor would I do just weights (or whatever) without KY. Sometimes the yoga alone is too challenging for the body, so simple body strengthening techniques like modified postures can help. Someday I will talk to you about one of the Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan's favorite subjects, the Vagus nerve. Satnam. Kind regards, Siri Bandhu ______________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Sat Nam Siri Bandhu K, I would like to thank Amrit for posting the question that brought up interesting answers and for those who answered. I'm especially interested to know more about the de Vagus Nerve. Can you tell us more about it? What did the SSS said? Is it the Mind Nerve besides being related to digestion, breath and circulation? How is it related to the mind, emotions, etc.? Thanks to you in advance. Infinite Blessings, Guru Nam K Kundalini-Yoga , Siri Bandhu Khalsa <siribandhu wrote: > ....
