Guest guest
I have this CD it is excellent and would recommend it to any teacher (or student) of KY. The mantras are only a minute or so long but it gives an excellent rendition of how they are pronounced. Guest guest
Sat Nam, In response to the difference between 'Aad Sach Jugaad Sach Haibhee Sach Naanak Hosee Bhee Sach' (from the Mool Mantra at the beginning of the prayer Japji Sahib) and 'Aad Sach Jugaad Sach Haibhay Sach Naanak Hosee Bhay Sach' (from the prayer Sukhmani Sahib): Sometimes at the end of class, Yogi Bhajan would invite questions from the class. About 10 years ago, I asked this question specifically -- what is the difference between these two mantras? He used metaphors to describe the difference: He said, with Aad Sach...Haibhee Sach, you can be riding a donkey along a hot and dusty road (so you could be feeling pretty hot and miserable) but can actually feel like you're soaring freely in the sky like an eagle. So, no matter how challenging your physical circumstances, you can feel free and unfettered. With Aad Sach...Haibhay Sach, he described it as a square trying to flow through a tube. I often think of it as a square trying to move through an artery. He said that, when you chant Aad Sach...Haibhay Sach, the square splits diagonally to become two triangles--and those triangles are able slip apart and flow through the tube or artery. What was blocked is now no longer blocked. Aad Sach...Haibhay Sach is said to release blocks. This mantra was given to Guru Arjan Dev when he was writing Sukhmani Sahib and was stuck. Baba Siri Chand (one of Guru Nanak Dev's sons) gave it to Guru Arjan Dev.
