Guest guest
Dear Amrit,There is much research done in curing diabetes through the raw food diet. I would like to suggest you go online and research it and listen to other people's experience. It is definitely possible. It takes commitment, knowledge and awareness, and believing in yourself and the power of positive mind and projection! You are your own healer! Some of us are here to guide and offer inspiration along the way.The Raw Food diet has cured my weak digestion and elimination systems. Some people think I am very discipline, but it isn't about that, i just feel so great on it and so it is easy to do. Guest guest
Kundalini Yoga can definitely help this, but some very conscious Food Yoga will most likely be required as well! Someone mentioned the raw food diet, and this has helped many people with diabetes. Go on YouTube and search for: Raw for 30 Days. It's a documentary trailer about some people curing their type 2 (and in one case, type 1) diabetes primarily through raw diet. This was done at the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Arizona. Lots of information at their site - www.treeoflife.nu As far as KY goes, pancreatic activity is regulated by 3rd chakra. So any kriyas that work on 3rd chakra would be of assistance. Rocking bow is supposed to especially be good for balancing blood sugar. And chant Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung to invoke the grace of healing! You might also want to search for macrobiotic diet and diabetes - many people on macrobiotic diets have made claims similar to those on raw food diets (I don't know about specifically for diabetes, but it's an idea). Guest guest
Sat Nam. Regarding the question on the use of Kundalini Yoga for diabetes, I would like to take this opportunity to remind the community that the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology is currently focusing on Kundalini Yoga for diabetes. We serve in two areas: (1) We have a training program for Kundalini Yoga teachers and health care professionals so that they can provide their students and clients with a program that uses Kundalini Yoga and meditation specifically designed for people with diabetes. This program also teaches the coping skills necessary to deal with the often co-existing depression. We also teach tools to help with improved adherence to recommended self-care behaviors. (2) We run programs for people with diabetes teaching them the above techniques. Finally, we have done some preliminary research in this area and have shown that our program for diabetes significantly improves anger, depression, anxiety, and fatigue. It also helps people find meaning and peace as measured with a spirituality questionnaire. Our evaluations show that participants find the program helpful in the areas of stress management and quality of life. And participants have reported improved glucose regulation including improvement in both fasting blood glucose and HbA1c levels. A formal research study is planned pending funding. We are located in New Mexico and you can learn more about our program by visiting our website at www.grdcenter.org. I will also post our brochure in the files section of this site. Since we are non-profit, your generous support allows us to continue this important work, train more teachers, and reach more people in need of these techniques. Information on how to make a contribution and how to contact us can be found on our website. Sincerely, Guru Parkash Kaur Board President Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology
