Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone, Yogi Bhajan told me to do 2 1/2hrs of Sat Kriya way back in 2001 (July). I was shocked to see such a lengthy time, but I didn't doubt 'the master.' He didn't say to break up the time, nor how may days to do it. It was in a response as to what to do to bring harmony into my life. I began doing Sat kriya for 2 1/2hrs, but instead of everything in my relationship improving, it got worse, my health also started to get worse, ie rectal pain, lumps in breast, severe jaw pain, etc. I just checked the notes again today, and it said that your health is supposed to improve with Sat Kriya. My question is, why hasn't my health and relationship improved? I got really confused after doing x amount of times, 9months or whatever and my rectal pain came. Why did I have so many physical problems. I did try to keep the posture straight and focus, maybe not straight enough, maybe not focused enough...I need an answer ....I have been practicing Kundalini Yoga for 28yrs
Guest guest
Dear Hariatmayoga: What causes disharmony is resistance to the flow of life. Perhaps you are so used to your resistance that you don't recognize it as something painful? I know that's happened in my life. Take a moment of silence (if it does not become obvious to you), relax, and inwardly ask yourself what it is you are resisting. At first you may feel angry as you become aware. It's a normal reaction to having to let go of something you have done for so long and thought it was normal. Rectal pain = pain in the butt What's a pain in the butt to you in regards to you meditation practice of Sat Kriya? Is it that it did not bring the results you were counting on? When Yogi Bhajan gave a meditation to master he meant 2 1/2 hours every day for 1,000 days. The 2 1/2 hours do not have to be in the same sitting unless he specified otherwise. He just meant that we spend 1/10 of the day toward what we wished to master. Blessings and harmony, @:-) Awtar Singh Rochester, NY
Guest guest
Sat Nam Hari Atma, Did you ever sense that Yogi Bhajan was giving you Sat Kriya because he saw your mind, body, and soul's condition before you did? Now you see, so you have to take care of fixing it- just Be the Fixer! I too have been doing K. Yoga for 28 years where the SSSji gave me directives and I experienced something very similar to you.As he says, everything is Yin and Yang, but through listening with our hearts and not by our heads gives us focus to gain the answer. Upon hearing of your new symptons, my heart told me that you presently need to take the STRESS away from this and just love him, yourself, and everything more. Everyone and thing is tools to awaken our Super Consciousness and spiritual growth. We chose to practise what was given to Yogi Bhajan by the ancients, thousands of years to serve the Universes around us, but change won't happen until you do. Do you do sahdana? If your radiance is strong, your health will serve to lift, so become radiant. And, feel you Mastered it and have won victory! Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe GUru Ji Ki Fateh! Guest guest
Sat Nam, Perhaps you're approaching Sat Kriya with an energy that is too intense, too much fire, too much tapas. After Shakti Pad comes Sahaj Pad, where we learn to accomplish far more by taking it much easier and wiser, more graceful and much more relaxed. More like water ballet than an underwater demolition team. Miraculously, miracles begin to happen where we had formerly attempted to be a super-kundalini hero, knocking down the doors with energy. Now the doors simply swing open of their own accord when we approach them. Try again -- try Sat Kriya " Sahaj Style " where the 2 1/2 hours becomes a gentle breeze in Tahiti, just stay focused and deeply present without all the grunting and sweating we might have assumed was necessary. Sat Kriya for centenarians. whisper or intone " Sut! Nam! " to you mind as if your mind is as sensitive and closely connected to infinity as a new born infant. Be gentle with Sat Kriya. That could become a closer resemblance of who we really are. We may tend to assume that Sat Kriya is a hard core, macho exercise. How about an ion powered forklift? That could be magical. Experiencing better life by taking it easy. for many Blessings, Krishna Singh Kundalini-Yoga , " thirdeyeyogi " <Art4love wrote: > > Sat Nam Hari Atma, > Did you ever sense that Yogi Bhajan was giving you Sat Kriya because > he saw your mind, body, and soul's condition before you did? Guest guest
Sat Nam Group! Thank you Krishna Singh for the post about taking Sat Kriya easily. And very much thank you for the statement and reminder of “sahaj Pad.” I am not familia with this term but your description about learning to take life gracefully and relaxed. I have been at KY for a little over a year and just learning this myself. Thanks again J Sarabjot Singh

Thank you dear 3HO family for taking so much of your time. It is true that Yogi Bhajan could see things we all didn't, which one of many gifts that comes with mastering the spiritual science he embraced so well, and delivered so effeciently. Another one of many is compassion, which you all do so well doing in replying with your heartfelt comments. Beginning Sat Kriya again seems somewhat daunting considering the prior condition, physical and mental, and yet a piece (peace) of myself says yeah.... The idea of approaching it with less expectations and to merge with the sound as an infant, fragile, and merging with my origin, sounds enticing. On the other hand as Sat Kartar Kaur said, " ... he saw your mind, body, and soul's condition before you did? Now you see, so you have to take care of fixing it- just Be the Fixer! ... " feel you Mastered it and have won victory. " Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of awareness, and I became more aware of my physical and mental bodies, their conditions, their cry for help. So Sat Kartar's words really fit, as well as Jot Singh's and others. " Upon hearing of your new symptons, my heart told me that you presently need to take the STRESS away from this and just love him, yourself, and everything more. " Yeah the stress was so thick, my body felt like it needed to be taken off! Again my dear Khalsa sister hit the nail on the head. The thought of loving more , I just have to love more...Love heals all! In the SGGS it says to meditate on the name with love, and no expectations, not to get anything. Now my approach is with fostering that wealth. Zillions of Blessings dear 3HO family, Hari Atma Kaur > Sat Nam, > Perhaps you're approaching Sat Kriya with an energy that is too > intense, too much fire, too much tapas. Guest guest
Please forgive me if I sound too harsh. It is not my intention. This is what I am thinking: Perhaps, you were using Sat Kriya as a talisman and not as a practice that would help you find union with God. I find that when I rely on things, people, or anything else that takes my attention from the Lord, I experience the unexpected for refinement. Our practice is a discipline of awareness that we may then give our shortcomings to the Lord, and he them can begin divine therapy in our lives. It is a training that helps us remain in the present moment and to make us aware of our programs for happiness imposed by false self. Perhaps, Yogi Bhajan was encouraging you to seek union with God in order to become aware of His continuous abiding presence and love for you, and in the process live your true identify. Humbly and with love, PatryWho's never won? Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
