Guest guest
Sat Nam, Shameen -- Congratulations for asking the very question that the entire world will be asking over the next few weeks: Mercury goes retrograde on Monday (meaning that communications, especially within relationships, will start going somewhat sideways and possible misinterpretations abounding), Pluto and Jupiter recently conjuncted at the galactic center (meaning that past understandings on the nature of reality are imploding), while the Sun eclipses, and conjuncts Neptune (fantasy), Mars will go direct and male energy will want to move forward while the Venus conjunction is imploding the feminine notion of relationship being completely re-structured in Capricorn. Most of February (which rules the Negative mind, intimacy and sexuality by numerology) will be transpiring with the Mercury communications between partners in retrograde, so " Yes " I would say, " The option of Celibacy, at least temporary celibacy even for partners in deep relations, is going to seem mighty appealing for many as old relationship patterns embedded deep within our cultural psyche begin to crash and disappear, waiting for new solutions what can't be formalized yet because " INTER " -personal communications are on haiatus until late February, early March, hightlighting the absolute beauty of deeper INTRA-Personal relations inside ourselves, solitary meditative work (like a caterpillar going into cocoon in order to transmute into next spring's butterfly) but currently just being melted into a nutrient dense golden concoction that looks more like hand creme than a butterfly. good luck for all of us to find and identify OUR OWN dreams within ourselves, before we might go rushing off into the swirl of societal (current) chaos (where everyone else is also simultaneously going through evolutionary meltdown), in order to discover the " soul mate " of our dreams. Short term, at least, if one is not in a deeply merged relationship wherein and whereof Guru Nanak said, " Call them not husband and wife who merely sit together with one another, but rather those who live as ONE RESONANT LIGHT WITHIN TWO BODIES. " The metaphysical problem here is somewhat like trying to lift off from, and escape the orbit of Relative existence on Earth, to find an Absolute Ideal of reality, OM, God, Ideal Partner / Lover / Spouse, etc. Seen in that way, if we are relatively and transitory and our ideal is Absolute and transcendental to Everything, YOU SIMPLY CANNOT GET THERE FROM HERE. This is why Guru Nanak said EK ONG KAR (INSTEAD), rather than OM. Infinity and Finite are already inseparable, we are already inseparable from our Beloved, within us, and the best way to realize and affirm this fact is a Shabd meditation called " Shabd Hazare, Mere Man Loche, " which has always been humanity's best friend, celibate or non-celibate alike. Unless and until we have merged successfully within ourselves, all attempts to merge within another are folly and temporary. Humanity needs a new, Aquarian, Relationship Prectice Sadhana. We are all the guinea pigs. May the most successful and sustainably robust, pure, intimate relationships show us all the way as we all re-wire what it is we " think " we are and what we're doing. Now, over the next 2 days, we will approach the side of the Mercury in Retrograde swimming pool and, " SPLASH, " this post may seem in hindsight as merely academic, or prophetic. Everybody's gonna get wet in February. Keep a journal, and let's all compare notes and share new found wisdoms in the " Positive Month of March, 2008. " Happy Camping. Hapy Sailing. These have just be a few thoughts among many (not a highly organized response), in response to your question, Shameen. Soon you will know much more than you do now about what you asked. In general, Kundalini Yoga is a wonderful support for authentic male-female partner relations, but unfortunately the cosmic manual for such process got destroyed in a fedex shipment from the galactic center about 10,000 years ago, and all we have of that are the precious fragments our teacher passed on to us, with the caveat " Follow your heart, and your intelligent experience " as we the species RE-CONSTITUTE OUR COSMIC WHOLENESS IN HEALTHY SACRED HOUSEHOLDS AND COMMUNITIES. " Such shared communities flourished in 3HO (to a greater extent than elsewhere in MY expreience) during the 1970's, before these ashrams adjourned to raise children in nuclear family households once again. Some of us view the vapor trails and ashes of that ashram, shared housing experimental era and continue to pray that the Phoenix will rise and flourish once again, now that we PERHAPS will be able to understand the true nature of authentic beloved relationships (which abounded in the sixties somewhat like unicorns abound today, in the myths and vapors of song and story). So perhaps, finally, February will be the month for finding and taming the unicorns of relationship. I hope you find yours too. for many Blessings, Krishna Singh Kundalini-Yoga , " shameen.yacoob " <shameen.yacoob wrote: > > Sat Nam, > > I was wondering if there any benefits to being celibate. Guest guest
Sat Nam Krishna, I imagined you talking on stage and us " soaking " in every word. Laughing alot too! Good job! After cocooning for the month of Feb., I am anticipating March to happen as you described it- positive! Everybody, picture a rubber band being pulled back very tightly over the month of Feb., then finally snap it into March with everyBody turned into saints and sages, maybe some angels. Just imagine singing all the 3HO songs, and hearing one big Holy sound. It will sound like the loudest Sat Nam chant ever- healing the world. And, we will look like Flower Children showing up for the Aquarian Age, getting everyGod up for sadhana! Wings on too! Yes, and the return of Ashrams!!! Ashram's are everywhere! Indeed, lots of ashrams!!! Thank you for the heads up knowing what to expect as I am heading for Florida to cocoon. To prepare for this I will be happily swimming and being One with the water! I think I will wear my googles with my turban, to be One. Water is One, and I am One with my turban! What?????
