Guest guest
While you are learning it, you can read it. Even if you read it in English it will work: Snatam Kaur and her Mata Ji, Prabhu Nam Kaur, taught a course on Sopurkh at Women's Camp in 2005. I took it because they taught it. I knew nothing about Sopurkh. I was not my usual attentive self in class since it was after lunch and hot I often fell asleep in class or was late. I didn't know why I was taking the class. When Prabhu Nam Kaur said it would work for the highest good for the males in your life, I thought I would do it for my son, Michael and my husband, Ron. Prabhu Nam Kaur said she had done it for her husband, Sat Santokh Singh, but what had happened was that Snatam Kaur found a husband and his name was Sopurkh! This gave me chills. When I got home, my Kundalini Yoga students all wanted to learn it. I got a copy with the English and the Transliteration (how to pronounce it in English) and I think it may have Gurmukhi too. My copy is hard to read, CAN SOMEONE POST A COPY LIKE THAT ON THIS SITE PLEASE? One student who wanted to date had men come into her life. Another student who was separated from a husband with mental problems had him get help. His Mom recited this in English, and the wife recited it too. They are now reunited. The energy of doing this 11x is amazing and doing it in a group the energy is even stronger. Oh, I forgot to mention the rest of my personal story. I did it for 11x/day (not all at once all the time...a few here, a few there, wherever I could fit it in) for 40 days after I got back from Women's Camp and then completely out of the blue to us, my husband had a heart intervention. One of his arteries was 99.5% blocked and he ended up with 3 stints. Yet even though his blockage was in the place the surgeon called the " Widow Maker " he had no heart attack and no heart damage. Three weeks later we were able to take a planned trip to Canada, including the Canadian Rockies. My husband who never did Kundalini Yoga and was not vegetarian went from saying he would not ever eat the weird food I eat to loving it. He has lost 35 pounds, kept it off, and is willing to meditate. I still do Sopurkh at least once a day and I attribtute his being alive in some part to the grace of this prayer....after we got back from Canada he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease too but we have been blessed to find alternative care here in our hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. He is doing well and is brain is so sharp. We pray that his healing continues.
