Guest guest
Sat Nam All,Those of you who are new may not know the answer to this-but I'm looking for specific details that Yogi Bhajan shared around not wearing a ring on the middle finger. The vague information I have is that it "restricts ones energy" and thus is generally not a good idea. Any of you "old timers" help here??? Please reply to all-if yes. Guest guest
Dearest Jot Singh, The middle finger is associated with Saturn - lord of karma - the teacher - the planet associated with restructuring and reorganizing - relearning - wearing a ring on the Saturn finger - may cause reaccuring Karma, contracting (vs expanding), slowing the process of growth (Saturn period - requires patience and endurance) - basically it is not recommended (in Aurvedic and Kabbalistic traditions). in love light and peace Akiva Satnarayan Kundalini-Yoga , Jot Singh Khalsa <jotkhalsa wrote: > > Sat Nam All, > Those of you who are new may not know the answer to this-but I'm > looking for specific details that Yogi Bhajan shared around not > wearing a ring on the middle finger. Guest guest
Sat Nam, the middle finger represents Saturn and its restrictive, ‘Captain Karma’ energy. A ring stimulates the Saturn qualities and emphasizes any limitations through one’s karma. This is how I recall this teaching. Guest guest
Sat Nam Jot Singh,The other explanation that I heard "back in the day" was that the middle finger is the Saturn finger, and Saturn already has enough rings. I guess this could tie into the restriction explanation too.See you at Solstice! Guest guest
The one quote from him I remember about the Saturn finger is the " it's the one that gets us into so much trouble because we are challenging people's power with our own when we raise it. " I also remember the one about Saturn's rings as well. Guest guest
Sat Nam I Yogi Ji saying that wearing a ring on the middle finger can make one more prone to accidents. That's what I tell people when I see they are wearing them there - they usually move the ring immediately & relocate it to another finger. They usually say it feels much better that way. Guest guest
I think its interesting that A LOT of women wear a ring on the saturn finger. I think its important to be more intelligent about this. Yogi Ji was of course referring to the 'Satunrian' aspect of the middle finger, but I think we need to figure out if its appropriate, just know what it means and don't just put a ring on any finger! Saturn can lead to accidents and restriction, increase karma, also - grounding, containment, focus, and direction.
