Guest guest
There is ample evidence that we humans are a hybrid creation from human- like gods called the " nefilim " in the bible, or " annunaki " in the much older 4,000 BC Sumerian tablets (see http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/vida_alien/slavespecies.htm). The gods comprise a pantheon of 12, and have similar attributes, in several ancient civilizations. Zeus the Greek thunder god, for example, may be the same as Indra, the Vedic equivalent from the Indus River culture. According to this article, http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2008/03/22/02297.html, meditation too often furthers the goal of established religions, in perpetuating a damaging reliance on these gods, whose rapacious character we inherited in so many ways. And the reason I'm sharing this article is because I disagree with the author that bowing to the higher powers perpetuates our enslavement to our powermongering creators. I agree completely with the author that giving up ones sovereignty to powerful Others is enslavement. But, I believe Yogi Bhajan, in encouraging mantra meditation, including using the phrase, " namo, " (to bow), does not imply an abeyance to higher power gods. So often Yogi Bhajan said we were bowing to the god " within us " . Thus, kundalini yoga (and even Sikhism, arguably), achieves the very human enlightenment the author espouses. Enjoy, and please post your comments: http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2008/03/22/02297.html That's a wild article, huh? Love to have some comments, since I believe it's a groundbreaking article, so important for the Aquarian Age...
Guest guest
Sat Nam,Thanks for your thought provocking article. Yes, I agree that too often religious leaders use their authority as ´gurus´ to manipulate people, the Catholic church being no exeption and all others religions have their extremist elements which cause more harm than good when belief systems are placed in the hands of zelots and radicals. Ultimately, there´s enough religon in the world for war but not enough for peace.... a shame.I would like to quote sections from the article and humbly give my perspectice.¨I would like to suggest that mantra meditation turns humans into zombies who serve the agenda of the gods. That agenda is procurement of more humans and more human energy. This explains the common phenomenon of proselytizing by the religious, including fundamentalist Christians, TMers, and disciples of other varieties.¨ Mantra meditation has helped me to overcome an addiction to drugs and the deep seated pain caused by being sexually abused. I feel inspired, more creative, and empowered than I had ever thought possible. Zombie? 750+ of sodarshan kriya 11-22mins = equals happiness. Maybe I have hyponotized myself. I choose to be enslaved by the mantra wa-hey- guru because it has a predictable outcome= happiness. There are many things to enslave us in this world TV, drugs, food, compulsive shopping, sex, take your pick ...I choose mantra it costs nothing and makes me happy without damaging my health. To maintain a stable projection in this topsy-turvy world is a real gift. Experience is knowing my friend. Please sir can I have another glass of this mantra kool-aid it tastes good! True, people get fired up and risk spiritual ego by trying to push their practice or religion on you. I´m happy I hope you find your happiness by any means possible as long as you don´t hurt anybody or anything. We must respect the paths of others however different from our own, lest we risk becoming fanatics. ¨Knowing this is not difficult. It only requires putting attention on that which is beneath the content of thought. Acting from this place of empowerment is natural: we can ordain reality from that quantum level. Everyone can do it. Everyone is equally powerful moving and creating in the depths of their own consciousness.¨-Ok, how do we get beneath the content of thought the depths of consciousness? Meditation? ¨Unfortunately, people rarely do that, though, as the mass hypnosis that governs human life convinces us that karma, fate or the will of God runs the world, that we as individuals have little direct control over what happens to us. The gods are the purveyors of this global hypnosis. It serves their agenda of control.¨My life before meditation was definately karma--suffering. Fate happens to you when you are just reacting to the world around you in an unconscious way. My life with a daily practice is dharma- my highest possible path, that means that when life gets tough and I can stand my ground because I know my mind and I´ve trained it to serve so that I can live with character, grace, and dignity. What do others think? -Chris Charles Cadiz, Spain Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I just love KY and also have studied/study Concept-Therapy. In C.T. they teach that a person's pleasures will change according to their evolved state of consciousness. To those that are not evoled, giving up certain things would be horrible to them, that is the pleasure level they are living with. Think some people may look at us meditating with our mantras and think " oh why don't they just go and get a martini " or " that is just not living a life. " For those that evolve in consciousness, pleasures of the past become meaningless and new ways of live become very pleasurable...just like kids you can look at them enjoying certain things and remember how you used to enjoy that but it holds nothing for you now... Good luck and glad to hear about how much KY has helped you in your life! Sounds like your on a different plateau! : ) Christine Kundalini-Yoga , chris charles <ccharles79 wrote: > > Sat Nam, > > Thanks for your thought provocking article.
