Dear Krishna Singh ji

This might be deviating from the topic , but the most interesting words in you mail were -

" meditate on Wahe Guru " ( especially the word - meditate . Because in actual gurbani there are two words used - " dhayan " rakhna & " samadhi " lagana. Where dhayan means to try and remain aware , samadhi means to sit in postures for long time. While the first id hailed all across gurbani the second is mocked by guru sahib at many places.)

I have searched and searched and tried every different " technique " - for " meditation " on " waheguru " … But they all seem to be futile efforts in the super-egotism being a spiritual person… After that I have been searching Gurbani for answers - the answer to me seems blaring out - that only meditation is " being oneself " and " slowly " and " steadily " start dedicating every action of our live to " waheguru " by performing it in accordance to " gurbani " . What do you think of this line of thought ?

Could you through some light on this ( in the light of Gurbani please ; If you don’t mind I am a bit sceptic about Siri Singh Sahibs teachings - but that’s my personal opinion.)

Dear Gaganpreet Singh Ji, Sat Nam --

I like your line of thought. I would like to begin a dialogue with

you in any way you like.

I asked Wahe Guru what to say to you and this is the awareness that

arose within me by asking such a question -- First of all it needs to

be understood that we're not talking about " theory of Wahe Guru and

Gurbani. " Nor are we talking about the philosophy of Gurbani and Wahe

Guru. This is an experiential matter. Prayer is the channel through

which you speak to the Guru, and meditation is the channel through

which the Guru speaks to you. In Sikh awareness, for every human

there is a direct relationship between the human and the divine. We

don't hire spiritual authorities to preside over us. The Guru is

there, always there, for us all of the time. And prior even to

reciting Gurbani, prior to Gurbani itself we say, " Wahe Guru ji ka

Khalsa, Wahe Guru ji ki fateh! " This has a very profound meaning and

blessing built right into it. It means " Khalsa need never fear or

doubt, no matter what, because Khalsa belongs to Wahe Guru, and ALL

VICTORY also belongs to Wahe Guru. " So IF we really are Khalsa, then

we belong in toto to Wahe Guru and His Fateh is already ours, it's

guaranteed and not contingent on any physical outcome. Therefore it

would be shameful for any Khalsa to have lingering doubt, because this

Gurbani from Guru Gobind Singhji himself absolutely guarantees that

Wahe Guru, your Guru and my Guru, has already covered every base.

Now I have to ask you, if the above is true, if I belong to Wahe Guru

and meditation is the channel for my Guru to speak to me, before,

during and after my prayers, then how could it possibly be THAT I

COULD NOT meditate on Wahe Guru? Ipso facto, your hypothesis that it

may not be possible to meditate on Wahe Guru must be wrong. This will

be the short answer.

But I would deeply enjoy sharing with you more understanding about the

ease, familiarity, accessibility and benefits of meditating on Wahe

Guru. It is my experience, not my theory. Meditating on Wahe Guru is

like moving into a new apartment and having the water turned on. All

you have to do is go and turn on the tap, and there is water. And all

I ever have to do is ask, and there also is Wahe Guru. It's now time

to live the Khalsa, no more wondering about it. It's what has been

given. This is Khalsa. Sahaj Khalsa. Guru says " Take it easy, and

enjoy, even as we may go through every sacrifice. " This is not from

written Gurbani. This is what I know to be true, because this Truth

saved everything for me, countless times, like Mardana who was always

getting into hot water and Guru Nanak always covered his base. My

bases have been covered to or I wouldn't even be history, just gone.

I believe that your heart longs for this experience and that is why

you wrote this question. There is much more to be shared about

meditating on Wahe Guru, and all this blessing was brought to us,

firsthand, directly from the feet of the Guru who honored him at Akal

Takht, beyond wholesale, to an even higher level of Karta Purkh, the

Incessantly Creative Infinity scale of manufacturing Guru's Prashad,

THIS is what Yogi Bhajan did for us. And for you if you can be humble

to accept something from his humble representative, on behalf of Wahe

Guru. It would be a mutual pleasure to share.

(Actually I didn't say this, I'm channeling).

Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru ji ki fateh!

Blessings, Ji –

Krishna Singh Khalsa
